Whats the best way to get bigger, stronger legs?
What kind of exercises?
I havent played soccer in a loong time.. now that im back into it after a couple years, these guys legs are massive and im scared of having my foot shattered upon contact with any of em lol whats the best way of building leg muscle? |

weighted calf raises, running, lots of stuff to build and tone leg muscle. |

squats, leg press, leg curls, leg extensions, incline treadmill and walking and running up stairs. If you can find access to staidium, even better. Dont feel like going to the gym then grab a back pack and load it up with bricks or rocks what ever and hike up hills.

You could do all that fancy shit above, or do somehting you may actually enjoy that will also increase the strength of your entire cardiovascular syste,
MOUNTAIN BIKING! not just riding on the side walk or taking groomed walking trails. I mean hitting the hiking trails, old overgrown paths, 4wheeler trails and anythign that looks fun to hit. Doing this for a year made my legs get so damn sculptured and rock solid that my doctor said he has never seen legs so damn built in his life. |

Poke around their site, order their free catalog, I have been working slowly on getting back to my old fighting weight. If you want serious strength, Ironmind is on that short list. As for the legs, you would be amazed at the workout you get sticking a 25lbs bag of sand in your backpack and either walking 3-5 miles with it, or doing stairwork. :thumbsup |
actually squatting increases core size.
Leg presses, leg raises, calf presses, and inner and outer scissor machines are going to target the legs specifically. The problem is you will get large muscles in the legs and not increase your waist. It will give you a body builder shape in the lower body but you will have to replace every pair of jeans and your slacks will have to be custom made. I ran into this problem in college. All my pants are relax fit and all suit pants and slacks are custom to fit my leg muscles and small hips/waist as well as my height 6'4" 240 pounds. |

Try bike riding on hilly terain.
Working great for me, back when I was an athlete. Going uphill you just blow the legs. And other times you keep them working doing cardio, so you don't loose flexibility and quickness, as you would just pumping iron. :thumbsup |
