Violent John Kerry supporters attack a 3 year old girl (pic)

http://us.news2.yimg.com/us.yimg.com...ds_wvrs103.jpg

Three-year-old Sophia Parlock cries while seated on the shoulders of her father, Phil Parlock, after having their Bush-Cheney sign torn up by Kerry-Edwards supporters, on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2004. The sign was then thrown back at the little girl while other Kerry supporters cheered.

slavdogg 09-17-2004 03:41 AM

thats fucked up in every possible way.

Libertine 09-17-2004 03:42 AM

I think that tells us that both candidate's camps have a few loonies.

Paul Waters 09-17-2004 04:07 AM

I think it is horrible that daddy is impposing his politics on someone too young to make an informed choice.

:feels-hot

xenigo 09-17-2004 04:30 AM

I think daddy needs his ass beaten down for inspiring his innocent daughter into partaking in an evil political following. Child abuse by definition.

But I agree, nobody should have taken the sign from the child. I would have slapped the ignorant (R) mother fucker bringing his daughter to a (D) rally. What the fuck does he expect is gonna happen? He wasn't there to share the love, he was there to piss people off and spread his hate / war mongering propeganda.

This is also true.
She won't have an opinion about politics at least until she's 13...and now she's 3 :2 cents:

Yes, you're right indeed.
I started to get interested in it when I was 15 though.

Matt 26z 09-17-2004 04:44 AM

What's there to feel sorry for?

The guy probably thought he could show up at the Democrat rally and start shit and nothing would happen to him as long as he had his little girl near him. What a moron.

Anyway, she probably got over it after a trip to McDonalds.

You can raise them as you see fit.

But this is akin to sending your daughter into a Mosque carrying a sign saying that Muslims are hethens.

And why do you bring up religion when the topic is politics?

Are you unwilling to respect your Constitiution and keep them separate?

i guess you have no kids ? from a parents point of view it is the same, you choose to raise your kids the way you live,

so you saying that parent is wrong for teaching him about politics is the same when you would say a parent would be wrong for teaching his kid his own religion as the kid also has no choice in that case

Mojiteaux 09-17-2004 07:10 AM

The girl tore it up herself. She is clever one, then the Bush-Cheney supporters harrassed her.
I mean with such a stupid photograph you can make your own stupid version anytime. So wake up from Lalaland, or is that the USA?

Democratic supporters are always of the lowest denomination on the whole. Shitty part is I have to vote democratic this time around. :( Though I doubt this story holds very much weight its still true.

They had every right to be there with their Bush signs, this is why we live in America. All the people around them and the Kerry supporters should be lynched. And Kerry should apologize......

Now that I look again, if they threw it at her, she wouldn't have caught it. I'll give the (R) benefit of the doubt that rabid Kerry supporters tore up her sign (that she couldn't read) but looking at the picture it's clearly the father who is shoving the torn sign into her hand and traumatizing her further for the photo op. Probably just yelled, "See what the boogey man did!":glugglug

sperbonzo 09-17-2004 07:44 AM

Your responses are CLASSIC!

This is America, and people are supposed to have freedom of speech...... But I guess freedom of speech only applies to Kerry supporters. Can you imagine if Bush supporters ripped up a sign carried by a Kerry supporter? You would all be screaming that Bush supporters are Nazis and Thugs! (Which is how the Kerry supporters acted...in this case)

Also, when, in America, a person comes to express their opinion, and is assaulted for it..... you blame the person being assaulted?

Sorry, but you guys have completely lost me. I personally don't think that America should be a place where "Brown Shirts" can assault a person just because they don't agree with their politcal opnion.

This thread, while exposing the kerry followers for what they are, is sickening.
The rabble in this thread who think that holding an opposing sign in a public place is grounds for violence are the same rabble who scream about freedom of speech when they're slinging porn.

Here's a clue, rabble. Here in America, freedom of speech is protected for everyone, not just liberal half whits like yourselves. When you're old enough to matter, I pity this world (of course, my children will rule you rabble. thanks for making it easy for them)

chodadog 09-17-2004 07:55 AM

That is fucked up shit. Argue all you will about whether or not the father should have his daughter there and whether or not he should have her holding the sign, but it's fucking disgusting that someone would put a 3 year old through a traumatic situation like that.

Whoever did it deserves a good ass kicking.

Odd that there is not one hit on "Sophia Parlock" at Google or Google News, but a number of hits from newsgroups. Anyone have a legit news link? Or is this an urban legend in the making?

patmccrotch 09-17-2004 08:00 AM

the moral of the story is bush sucks, and if you support him you're going to end up crying like a little bitch with a skinned knee

Furious_Male 09-17-2004 08:03 AM

Ohh isnt this just a perfect little piece for the Bush Camp. The Bush sheep will eat this up and really chatter about this on there way in and out of obligatory church this Sunday.

For all we know Bush supporters posing as Kerry supporters did this for the press to eat up (its a stretch :1orglaugh )

mardigras 09-17-2004 08:03 AM

OK, here
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...vrs10309162250

Not a mention of anyone throwing it at her. And it says "their" sign. Anyone in their group could have been holding it, perhaps even taunting someone with it?

What a fucking hyprocrite you are.

Anytime a Kerry supporter says something you disagree wit you tell them to shut up. Who the fuck are you to use the 1st ammendment against anybody?

republicans only believe in the Freedom of experssion as long as it suites them, any time someone says something they disagree with they try as hard as they can to shut them the fuck up.

And yes we should bring up that all the Republicans on this board agreed it was ok to fire a poor old lady for choosing to vote for Kerry.

Heres a clue for you, The daddy is a fucking idiot and irresponsible for marching his 3 year old daughter into a Kerry rally to use her as a shield.
Whoever in the crowd that actually grabbed the sign is a fucking prick for doing it.

The people who were yelling at the father were probebly yelling what a moron he was to use his daughter as a protest tool.

So fuck both of them.

Yes, 13 points up in the poll and we stage this. hahaha, buy a clue.

you can almost never have a group of liberal protesters without assualts and arrests. kinda displays what they are.

dear rabble, here in America, a 3ry old should be safe holding a sign.
perhaps the father was exposing his daughter to the political process and explaining how its ok to peacefully disagree with someone.

What she learned was that liberal rabble are dangerous.

neverlearn 09-17-2004 08:17 AM

Ok Dad, time to put down the girl and start kickin' ass an takin names...

sperbonzo 09-17-2004 08:18 AM

So, by the logic of the people posting on this thread.....then it is OK for Bush supporters to assault a person carrying a Kerry sign?

Sorry..... I don't get it at all. You guys must not think of freedom of speech the same way I do:2 cents:

pussyluver 09-17-2004 08:19 AM

Can't comment without knowing the whole story. not even gonna try to read something in to it.

They say porn is bad, maybe there should be AVS for politics?

Same thing could of happened at a baseball game. The little girl had a Cardnials cap on at a Cubs game. So somebody throws a beer at her.

I placed the laughing emotican with that comment to indicate I was joking. I doubt the action I suggested transpired.

Unfortunately I don't see many liberal protests to view for myself the amount of assaults and arrests. This due to the fact that the Republicans will not allow protests and instead designate areas many miles away from any events.

Yes right to protest but waaaaaaaaay over here in the corner where no one can hear you.
