Tracking Info and Paypal
Warning: If you sell an item using paypal and send it out and the person receiving the item puts in a complaint, you may not see that item or your money.
|
Paypal claims that you just need to provide the tracking number but it's not always the case.

They put a complaint to Paypal. I provided tracking details. Their CC company charged it back somehow. Paypal claims that they can't do much when a chargeback is involved. They told me they would fight my case because I provided the tracking info and said it would take up to 3 months. 9 months later, Paypal won't answer me plus they locked my account. |
This is funny:

Merchandise arrived broken. Client didn't take the insurrance. I did tough with UPS... After a week, I got a chargeback and Paypal said I had to pay. I said to them : :321GFY |

By the way, Paypal locked my account because the balance was in the red due to the chargeback.
Paypal mentioned that I now have to send them a money order or they'll send teh case to a collection agency. It's funny that they ignore me when I have questions yet when they want money, they're right up on things. |
More funny stuff.
Paypal tells me to send them a money order to take my balance out of the red. The funny part. Doing this may not unlock my account. :1orglaugh :ak47: |

-Send a collection agency after your customer (the person who charged back). Ultimately, you could even take legal action against him. -Sue Paypal (not like you would be the first one). Paypal is right to say that not much can be done if your customer's credit card company just charged back. But Paypal does mention that you only need a tracking number which means they should bite the bullet on it. I don't know how much the transaction was for but it's something to keep in mind. |

sickkittens, I took the liberty of calling USPS today and ask some details about their record keeping policies. Here's the scoop according to the USPS rep that took my call. Tracking numbers are kept on the site for a period of 6 months. After the 6 months, the records are taken off the site but are still available. I was told that all that is required is to show up in your nearest post office with all the pertinent details and that they will provide them to you. FYI, the USPS number I called: 1-800-275-8777 I hope that this info will help you get some ammo to build a case against these fuckers. :) |
Bump ... lol
I has a second call on my answering machine from the collection agency... They ask me to call them back ... They can go :321GFY . If they think they have a case, let them go to court ( its about 2000.00 US ) . Then I would change the venue to small claims court, in Quebec, with no lawyers.... They posted that tracking policy, the insurred/ not insurred function... so they pay... |
