Well if US athletes did well - good luck to em! Since a fair number were trained by European coaches, reckon they deserve some credit as well.. Now.. about "dominating the world".... :1orglaugh |
we are happy with the gold in handball :winkwink:
|
accordingly if Cuba had the population of USA they would get about 780 medals.

Damn everybody says they hope America loses and then somebody makes a post about America dominating the olympics and you all fly off the handle. Relax it is sports. Although America does dominate the world just look around........
:2 cents: |
Anyone have the count of american citizens that won medals for other countries? I saw two competitors in the 400m hurdles (I think it was that event) that were born, grew up in , and were trained in the US. Yet one competed for Panama, the other for the Dominican Republic.
The Gold medal went to the guy from California - or the Dominican Republic :P I bet if you count all that kind of traitor shit in the US would have 15 times as many medals as Australia. |

EUROPE - 132 who is your daddy ?? |
I'll be willing to bet that if you compared that list to what each country spent in training...... It would match pretty damn close.

Keep dreaming. |
I love my country, and I agree that we dominate the world in many ways (not all of them good), but we also have a lot of athletes that came from other countries to ours because they didn't like the conditions in their own country. Keep that in mind.

Total USA medals: 103
Total GB medals: 30 Population of USA: approx 280 million. Population of GB: approx 60 million. So who has the best athletes? Do the maths (yes, "maths" not "math" - if you're going to steal our language then at least learn to use it properly ) - if you got beaten by us Brits then you got destroyed by a lot of other countries :winkwink: |

using your logic, any country with a smaller population then the us should have no medals and we should have them all. arent americans fat lazy slobs who eat mcdonalds all day? if thats the case it should be no problem to beat us at any sport... |

You also have to take into account the number of events participated in. |
