i'm still interested in knowing how to make a thumb TGP fully compliant. will i need to gather documentation on every gallery cropped? will cropping just faces and NN suffice? |
I have a couple thumb tgp's and here's what I plan to do.
I am gonna place one 2257 link on the bottom of the tgp that goes to a page I'm putting together now. It will have links to every sponsors 2257 page that I use on that site. It's a lot of work collecting them cause my sponsor list is almost 100 strong. This may not be compliant by the letter of the law but if I go to jail for this, then I'm moving to another country the day I get out. :2 cents: |

Put your domains on a friends name wich lives outside the States done.
The Hun is dutch so why should he care LOL. this law only goes up for US based people :) it has nothing to do with the location of your server. |

aaronm has his finger on the pulse of the new 2257 shiznit. hit him up.
if your site promtes porn youll need docs for every model featured/shown on your site, wether theyre your pics or not. that goes for banners ads ect. thats pretyy much the gist of it |

:1orglaugh From what I see in the new law.. it's not a lot of physical things that need changed to the sites themselves.. But most are changes to the amount of records you have at your place of business. For example on your webpages, you will have to have your full business contact info right their on the main page (this will be your place of business and location of the 2257 records) You don't have to provid links to models ID's on the web however you are supposed have on file (either paper or digital) records for all sexually explicit content hosted on your server(s). So a text site should be exempt if you only link to sponsor hosted or submitted galleries that have 2257 info. Thumbs however are the tough one.. as long as they are not sexually explicit you shouldn't need a 2257 (2256 tells you what is considered sexually explicit) But for any thumbs that are sexually explicit you will have to have on file the proper 2257 info. there is also something about having link information about everywhere that content is used, on the web.. That IMO won't affect TGP owners a lot, but could be a nightmare for program owners, content producers and gallery submitters. I haven't looked into that part as much because it dosen't affect me that much. Anyway that's what I get from reading the proposed law and listening to a few lawyers.. btw MrIZZ hit me up on ICQ we need to start a trade :) 203838 or let me know your ICQ |

If you live or work in the US this law applies to you, otherwise fuck it. It doesnt matter if somebody from the US is hosting his site in The Netherlands or whatever it doesnt change anything. you still go to jail with your kiddie porn :1orglaugh |

crockett,
Most hosting companies have their terms, in wich they also state that therye not responsible for any injuries caused by the client. So basically it comes down to the client, wich for example would be dutch can do whatever he wants on an US based Hosting. Anno_0, Switching host doesnt get you out of trouble, you have to comply with your law, so you just have to remove all the hardcore stuff. |
