Hey Quick Question! Am I ripping people off or Are people ripping me off?
 

Ok IM doing galleries at $10.00 each right? I think 20 to 30 dollars for a gallery is a rip off imo I DONT MIND if somone wants to pay that but Why ? Why would anyone want to pay that much for a damn gallery?

Look at my samples for $10.00 below and can you give me your honest thoughts, If I am charging to much or should I just give up and stop doing galleries?

Thanks I just wanted to make sure on these!!! I am not going to be doing galleries for people in 30 days! All my paysites will be launched and will not have any time... So fig I would try and get some galleries done for people before I totaly stop. *shrugs*

There are a lot of shitty designers charging too much for a gallery.

well how long does it take for you to do a gallery template?

They look good man, but 10$ is a bit too low imo. How long does 1 gallery take you honestly? I don't think 15 or 20 bucks would be a ridiculous thing to ask :thumbsup

I think 12 - 13 $ is about spot on. $10 is a touch low. Not more than $15 though.

Depending on the sponsors site anywhere from 15 to 30 mins

I am also doing a special if you order 20 or more galleries they are only $5.00 each but That is one template per 5 galleries... So say you want 5 galleries for one sponsor pay site like knockboots.com I would build you one template and use that template for the next 4.. Of course I would change a few things like bg color etc...

I resize all images, water mark if need be For movie galleries I chop them up to the min tgp standards and get screen grabs..

Ps I do make a promise if you don't make your money back on the designs I do for you I will redo them UNTIL you do im 100% sure you will make your money back and then sum... Only had maybe 5 to 8 complaints in the 3 years Ive done this and always try to make things right...

Yea I guess if you soley do galleries for you money I guess I can understand.. This is only play money for me now, model fee's etc... I can take it or leave it! I got some free time comming up so fig I would give it a try again..

doesn't matter whether you charge $5 or $30...with that sort of attitude, why would I pay for something that you don't give a a shit about doing (ro doing right?) If I know you're only doing it for fuckaround money, why should I trust they will be quality galleries?

It takes one sale to recoup the cost...and whether people believe it or not sometimes I actually spend too much time on one single gallery...I've spent up to 2hours tweaking things just to make sure it's right and if I'm charging $30 for it. I'm still not making enough IMO...but that's what I charged.

Sponsor hosted galleries are a different game..usually they wanna buy a bunch and get them done as quickly as possible.

But when it comes to individual orders...if you can't afford $30 for a gallery that you want to make you $100's or $1,000's then by all means go somewhere else.

To answer your question though, I think you're undercutting yourself at $10. Someone mentioned $12-13...that might be spot on.

I knew I was going to get some flack for them words!! Supprised fletch aint in here hehe It was just my thoughts not trtying to degrade the people that do this for a living... I agree if you are doing this for a living then why not get the most out of it! There are some as yourself and fletch and digifan that are really good just imo them prices are a bit too high!! Tom reread my statement...you're not catching flack...just letting you know how it is.

You say you're not trying to degrade people who do this for a living..but yet you continue to say the prices are too high and then undercut for those who do it for a living for "play money."
Which is fine this is a free enterprise system not questioning that...and right now I'm booked solid..but there are those out there who do have to pay rent...who do have to feed their kids..clothe them...so consider the ripple effect.
