So it looks like we might have the twins real early..
Melissa just called from the doctor's office... she's been feeling lousy the last few days. It appears that she's dialated to 1, softened or something and something else.
It's too early.. we're only 30 weeks. If there's anyone religious reading this, please say a prayer. Stress!! Fuck. Brad |
You know I'll be sending prayers and good thoughts from here, Brad. Best of luck to you, your wife and of course the little ones!!!
|
Twins ??
Me and Patty are Praying for ya bro. |
Hang in there Brad. We will be thinking about you are yoru family buddy!
|
Melissa is a trooper... I know things will work out..... ;-)
|
SinEmpire...
Wouldn't exactly say that I'm religious, but I got a healthy dose of spirituality running through me I guess. Melissa, the babes, and yourself have all of my prayers and good thoughts. |
Aww don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine. Alot of women dilate early, I for one was 2 cm dilated for the last month I was preggo with my son and even had him 1 day late.
Am hoping for the best for your wife and the babies :) |
Well, thats definitely not good news BUT...
The doctors now can pull off some miracles when it comes to premature babies. My cousin was so small when she was born that she fit in the palm of my uncles hand. She had to stay in the hospital for nearly a year, but now she is in her early twenties and is finishing her university education. But regardless man... good luck and best wishes. |
I hope everything goes well - My prayers and thoughts are with you.
:angel |
Brad -
My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. Be strong, and everything will be OK |
thanks for the kind words everyone
She's on her way to the hospital, I'm going to go meet her there. She's dialated, softened and the babies have dropped some. At a minimum they're going to administer a steroid shot for the babies that helps with their lung development with the expectation that they're going to be born very early. Melissa's a tough cookie so if the boys are like their mom then I'm sure they'll be fine... I have some solace knowing that with the possible exception of UofM Michigan Hospital, being at Beaumont is the best hospital in the state. cheers Brad |
altough I don't know you, best luck man
|
Lots of prayers for the little ones. Its such a tender time for you both. Best of luck.
|
Good Luck man and hey 30 weeks is not that early when you are talking twins... You still gota get through the tarrable twos!
|
Wow 30 weeks ?
Prays are with ya bro |
Best wishes Brad, I will keep you family in my prayers.
|
Sorry to hear about that development and hope all turns out well....my thoughts are with you and yours...
|
Ouch.
I'm not religious, but I do have a heart, and I'm hoping for the very best outcome possible for you Brad. *HUGS* |
Brad, i am sure that it will turn out well
no need to stress, my friend |
Best wishes Brad
|
My blessings and the Goddesses care on you and yours, Brad. those types of complicatiopns are not uncommon in twins pregnancies.... She will probably be on bedrest and need lots of help :) Everything will be fine :) Good luck
|
I would be lying to say I pray often but I will be wishing the very best for all four of you :)
|
Brad, while i have no idea what to say in these circumstances, our thoughts are with you!

please let me know if there is anything i can do to help out. put on a brave face, soldier, you need to be her rock right now. |
Brad, you may not see this until later...and I'll icq you, too...but, with twins, it's not unusual for dilation and effacement to occur....early.
You and Melissa and the boys are in my prayers....and they've got some pretty nifty tricks these days to keep her from delivering too early....even if she does, they've got some pretty nifty tricks for preemies.... |
my brother's wife had twin 4 years ago, same kind of stuff, i think it's kind of expected with twins to have all these worries. very stressful on the poor mommy:(
|
dont worry man
the docs have awesome knowledge and skills these days my cousins son is born week 31 he is 3 years now and everything is 100% ok with him they also give medication now to delay birth. |
Hope everything turns out okay, Brad. Premature babies have a fantastic chances these days. Best of luck.
|
Best of luck from me too
|
Brad, all our prayers are with you and the family. If you need anything at all, you have my number, and don't hesitate to ask.
|
best of luck:thumbsup
|
I wish the twins, you and your wife the best...... prayer said. :thumbsup
|
I know everything will turn out just ok.. anyway.. i'll light a candle for Melissa and the twins :)
|
Brad,
Debbie's, Jeff's and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family! There are many things that doctors can do these days to help slow things down. In a few years when you're in the park eating ice cream with the twins, this will all be a distant memory :thumbsup |
..thanks everyone for all the kind words they've definitely brightened up my day and Melissa's too. They've got her under observation for the next few hours to see if her status changes. I swear, if the doctors could agree on anything it would be a miracle. She gets one exam in the office and they send her to the hospital then she gets to the hospital and the resident is saying something conflicting. Anyway, she sent me back to the office while she watches her soaps in the hospital bed. LOL
(sigh) Brad |

I will say a prayer for you also! Good Luck! |
wow, best of luck brad. my thoughts are with ya bro. *hugs*
|
just got a call-
She's dialated to 2 cm and they're admitting her. :helpme Brad |
Brad. me and my family will include you on our prayers, and wish you the best. be strong now in thought for yourself, and your wife... you will have many that are praying for the best!

But the question remains: Why the fuck are you not there with her? Post on GFY after please. |
They didn't believe her status was changing, she was simply under observation waiting for another checkup a few hours after the first. I've been here at the office calling family and making arrangements to take care of our daughter for the next 24+ hours and I'm just about done with that so I can go to the hospital. She was still waiting to have a chat with her regular doctor to find out what is next, which should be soon.
I'm not here because I want to be and won't be here but for a few more minutes. The hospital and my office are about 5 minutes away from one another. Brad |
my prayer is with you, I know through God's grace you'll wife will giveing birth safely with a cute little angels :)
just give your faith to Him :thumbsup |
If the babies are not under stress, they will most likely give her meds to stop the premature labour. She will most likely be hospitalized for surveillance purposes and keep her bedridden until she's 37-38 weeks. I hope all goes well & I'm definitely praying for the three! Good luck & God Bless!

i heard that babies born on the 7th month (around 30-31 weeks) have a much higher rate of being all good and healthy than those born around 33-35 weeks.
personally, i didn't come out for a whole 10 months and i dont think i'm any healthier than i would've been if i got outta there on time. |
Good luck man! I hope they come through healthy!
|
I believe that everything will be ok. I wish the best luck to your wife and twins.

Here's thoughts and prayers to you Brad, the twins and Melissa! |
Thanks everyone for thinking about us... seems to be working!
Melissa is stable in the hospital, not dialating any more and the contractions are light. They're keeping her for two days but if all goes well she'll be home after that (and on bedrest) and we can hopefully keep them in there for a few more weeks. Big Smiles! Brad |
