They simply are testing the system before unleashing it to everyone at once, mary.

They dont want it to crash and burn like the first time.

Last night I was on for awhile and Howard was on and I posted in that thread, went to pee for about 2 minutes, came back and refreshed, and the thread was 2 more pages long!
In a half hour that thread went from 2 pages to 13 pages.

im on a board right now with 1200+ users and that is 11 am on a weekday.

weeknights and weekends is 3k+

Although Dream Tank is LA's biggest hosting facility, you guys must understand Howard stern message board is most likely the Internets Largest, and busiest board to date.

Just like everything else, you usually don't expect success till you try it and they had the balls to land the account and do it.
Instead of putting them down, maybe they should get props for landing such a big account.

I was there the first night and was absolutelly floored by the activity... There couldn't have been any way to predict that. I'm sure everything will be running smoothely within the week as they are telling us.
