Just in case you're serious, do back exercises. If your back isn't strong, your abs won't build.

actually i'm really serious. i've been playing soccer like crazy for the last year...so i've gotten into decent shape, but i've neglected my abs totally.:(

any specific back exercises? deadlifts? backpress? etc...

Do you go to the gym? Gyms usually have several different back machines. The one that will do the most benefit to your abs is the low back extension machine. If your gym has the "Strive" version, that's even better. Five minutes/day on this machine AND five minutes/day on the abs machine (preferably "Strive" again) and you'll see significant results within 5 weeks.

For 1 1/2 years I used my home gym and some freeweights. Less than 2 months ago I joined Gold's Gym and the difference is very noticeable. The gym machines are far superior. I'm actually giving away all my home equipment. :2 cents:

the best way to get abs is running/jogging

sweet7 07-03-2004 03:44 PM

Change your diet, you can eat your way to a sixpack if you eat right and if you have a belly to start with, 2 to 300 crunches a day or every other day won't hurt either to flatten your stomach.

It's not as bad as it sounds start with 2x50 reps upper abdominal, then do obliques 2x50 for each side and you're done

Takes less than 10 minutes and you're done.

brizzad 07-03-2004 03:45 PM

go to bodybuilding.com and read on articles/exercises on abs

stop eating fast food and stuff with fat

eat green stuff

go running
