Yea, I read in a psychology book that good looking/attractive people tend to be judged more favorably even in job interviews... When the less attractive person is more qualified, the less qualified attractive person still tends to be judged as more intelligent and capable. Good looking people are also judged as more trustworthy, it's all been scientifically proven. I sat through a lecture about this in a Psychology 100 class.

I know I get treated fairly good by people, but I don't know how unattractive people get treated because I've never been in that position before. I feel sorry for them though.

when i was younger, i was thin, cute and blond. most people seemed to feel that those things equalled stupid.

I think charm goes a long way..being able to articulate, have a keen sense of wit, humor, ect.

I think that advantages and disadvantages can be found in everything including good looking people so yes to a certain extent and that personality is more important in almost any circumstance.

I saw them do a story about this on Dateline or something within in the past year. They basically took 4 people, 1 goodlooking guy, 1 goodlooking girl, and 1 average looking guy and girl.

They then put them in the same situations to see how people would react. Such as acting lost in downtown NewYork, trying to cut the line at a fast food place during a busy lunch hour, asking people to break a dollar. Shit like that..

It was night and day the differences in the favor of the goodlooking. :2 cents:

Maybe for a guy. Men already have a advantage business wise. Not shir how that came about. But its seems to be present. My best guess its from the the early 1900's when men had all the say and women are *supossed* to be the house wives. It wasnt really till the last 50yrs that we are slowly becomming equals. Theres that one saying that the men can get the better job but the women can get the man. That one Saying is wrong on so many levels!!!!! Just shows how ignorant society once was. :(
For the people who state a pretty girl can get far based on looks are VERY wrong. Its especialy harder for a bretty girl to be taken serisously in any business. Pretty girls are betrayed to be dumb and not to really know anything further than make up and fashion...... Then if they do manage to meet the right people all they are interested in is a date. Which happens more often than women would like to state. So women have to be manipulative creatures at times.
