Speaking in terms of human nature, absolutely they do. In fact, studies have shown that more attractive people get higher wages, get offered more jobs, that kind of thing. Symmetrical people tend to get the most of this sort of thing. Nature is always striving for perfection.. our subconscious trying to reach out and reward good genetics :)
