DVD to editable video: Help Needed
 

Hi,

Are there any video gurus around who can help me?


I have a DVD that i want to turn into an mpeg file so i can edit it in my editor. Is there an easier way to do it on my computer with a DVD drive, than having to hook up a dvd player into my video capture card?

You need Smart rip to rio the DVD into VOB files.
Then you can transer the files into AVIs using DVDX.

The fastes way to get a DVD or any other video down to your computer as a mpegI will be by using a ext. DVD Player and capture the video via your TV, or capture card.

If you need it as a mpegII VOB Files) you do it via a ripper, of course
