Protecting Video content with htaccess? Possible?
 

So whats the final answer, is it possible to protect wmv/mpeg/mov's with an htaccess or are we all stuck needing a giant script to do it?

put this in your htaccess file. switch the yourdomain.com to whatever your domain is.. and the blah.com to wherever you want to redirect your hotlinkers.

NOTE: when you are testing it, clear all of your hahahahahahas first or test from a different PC. Once you have entered the site, if you have the hahahahahaha it will let you enter for 24 hours i believe.)

yeah, I used to use the hahahahahaha deal, had too many problems with people not using hahahahahahas and stuff, might just hahahahaha php proggy to rename the movie directory hourly or something.

The id=valid hahahahahaha provides no real security of course,
I can easily make a page that sets such a hahahahahaha and
then links right to all of your videos.
Besides the fact that about 40% of punters have cokkies diabled ....
