I'm 6'4" 170lbs

I'm fucking slim, what should I do to be bigger, like 200-230lbs

eat seems the easiest answer, but doesn't seem to work.

i'm the same way, it's impossible for me to gain weight, ive tried working out, weight gainers, eating like a horse and all. I could eat 10lbs of cake and lose 5 lbs in the process :(

do you work out?

Decent combination of real carbs (pastas, rice, etc, not sugar carbs), gym time, and lots of protein (both meat and supplements) should gain you a decent amount of weight over a couple of months...

Well smoke better weed then bro. hehe JK. I actually had a friend with the same problem as you, all through school his conquest was to gain weight.

It really seemed to be a loosing proposition for him, if anything overeating just made him sick, and protein and iron weight goes away quicker than you can put it on.

i never eat breakfast, (well maybe 2 times a month i do)

fuzebox - ive done the weight gainer/workout thing, i bulked up a little bit but overall it was like a 4lb weight gain, i dont the body structure to be "big" a lot of people dont so it's not as easy as weight gainer and weights

i'm 6'2" barely 150 lbs, have been this height/weight since my freshman year of highschool (i'm 29 now) my arms are like pipecleaners

Hire a trainer that will push you. Were talking find a trainer that at the end of those 2 hours, you are just torn to pieces wishing you could lift your thumb to your mouth.


Maybe not that bad. But GAining weight is going to take quitting smoking if you smoke. Running 2 miles a day (strong heartt/anaerobic workout goes hand in hand with weight training). and excercise that is pushing it 150% more than you possibly can. Give that 8 months and you will gain 50 pounds.

Over what period of time? It's not an instant thing, you gotta work at it.

A year ago I was really sick for a month, went down to 170lb (my lowest in 4 years, I'm 6'3)... Spent 3 months lifting and taking protein supplements, went up to 185... made a huge difference in my body structure, mostly because it wasn't fat.

yeah i smoke and i'm scrawny as fuck, ive never been a breakfast person, i have one of those stomachs that doesnt like anything in it till I've fully woken up. I wake up at 6-7am usually and dont eat till a little after noon on most occasions (have always been like this, even before i started smoking) i quit smoking for a few months and I never ate, once a day, every other day usually, I've never really had a big appetite (surprising because I love food). smoking actually almost forces me to eat 3 square a day, or at least 2 and some snacks

we definitly seem to have a similar methabolism.

however I think I was still eating when I stopped to smoke for a while.

My advice is basically what most everyone else said, eat. Protein is the key [chicken breast, fish-especially tuna, steak, etc.], potatoes, rice, that sort of thing. supplements help, fuck with some protein shakes and bars from time to time. work out 3-5 times a week, with heavy weight, and do decent cardio and you should notice some nice gains.
