Who Else is Sick of Seeing Webmasters Giving Political Opinions

I for one am sick of hearing all the uneducated not properly thought out posts concerning politics. If you want to do your homework and think through things and try educate people that are one thing. But to blatantly pass on your propaganda based on your insecurities is not appropriate for a webmaster board. But that is just my humble opinion.

MuleScrote 03-12-2004 09:11 PM

Well it kinda comes with living in a democratic country and thank God for that.
Imagine if we had to praise Allah every day or bow to Kim Jong-il to get a slice of bread.

Hah, I hope this is a joke... But, seriously do some homework. You should think up a list of reasons why you aren't happy with him. And really do your homework on this. This may bring you some credibility. I don't think Bush is perfect but I do believe a lot of people blame him for stuff beyond his control.

jesus, where's sleazy when you need him?

"um, who are you?"

Bush may be a smart guy, I'll never know. Every time I attempt to listen to him speak, he doesn't say anything worth listening to. Frankly, his public agenda, and especially his cabinet, scare me. Should scare you as well. Unless you're one of those cool 'America can do no wrong, kill 'em all!' types. In which case:

That is my point politics matter everywhere. And should deserve the time and effort to thourghly research and make articulate thoughts about. Propaganada again matters, but miss directed propaganada isn't going to help anyone out.

Anyways, what about his adminstrations public agenda scares you? And no I don't think America can do no wrong. I think we have done a lot of wrong. But what can you do about the past?

hah, I wish it was that easy. Unfortunatly I do not have that kind of power. Maybe, I am naive but I dont see the Bush Adminstration invading my privacy anymore then any other Adminstration.

bhutocracy 03-12-2004 09:46 PM

basically "uneducated and improperly thought out" = people who don't agree with you.. that goes for both sides of the politcal argument here > Ignorant far right wackos get pissed off with stupid bandwagon jumping loony leftists. and vice versa.

No that is absolutely not true. I understand the Bush Adminstration isn't perferct. But, instead of just saying they suck or they are bad or I hate them. I'd like to see the reasons and the blame pointed out to the right people.

For example today there was 2-3 if not more threads on how Bush sucks because Stern isn't on the air anymore. If people did their homework they'd know its got nothing to do with bush and more to do with Janet and congress.

And as most should know congress is not the bush adminstration.

We can't know for sure, we're not in the spying business. Could Kerry be as bad as Bush? Probably but by not reelecting presidents who take crazy decisions, the population will be sending a message to politicians.

exspamr 03-12-2004 09:52 PM

im sick of politics... i think ive overdosed on talk radio, the news, and stupid people on messageboards... anyway the only conclusion that i can draw from all of this is that politics are based on fear... fear of what bush will do, fear of what kerry might do... both sides arent really worth voting for but everyone is too complacent to do anything about it

You do realize, Bush does not elect congress right? The states population does. You do know Bush can't make congress do anything, right? But, from what I understand there is a lot of if you scratch my back I'll scratch yours going on. But, that doesn't mean Bush is in control of congress.

You need to understand how the adminstration affects decision making not just at the national level but even at the local level...you weren't around to see what Edwin Meese and co. did to porn in the 80's...on the local level...same thing going on here...you think you've got it figured out but you're the one with the blinders on.

Janet was at the tail end of the current issue of censorship. This administration has been the most thought control wannabe ever.

I think it started more after 911 when the administration put it's official stamp of disapproval on Bill Mahr's comments and Ari Fleischer at a press conference said, "People need to watch what they say". Seems to be a recurring theme with them.

I think you misunderstood. I don't pretend to have it figured out. My point and only point is if you are going to use your voice to speak up on an issue. Reasearch do your homework and articulate that. Not just "I hate Bush because he took Stern off the air". If I had to guess I'd bet Bush likes Stern, he seems to be simple enough to enjoy that kind of humor.

And as far as the Adminstration affecting decision making at every level. You aren't one of the conspiracy theorist are you? I don't want to judge you or read too much into the few posts I've read from you. But I am curious about why you think the Bush Adminstration any different then the Clinton Adminstration. Maybe I can learn something tonite.

I'm not going to pretend to know the guy or how he feels. But it seems to me Bush is view is this, or maybe im clouding it with my own, but porn and the stern show don't belong in the family atmosphere. If you are an adult and you enjoy it good for you. But, I dont want my 7yr old kids invovled in any way.

Maybe, eros is right Im blinded. Or maybe, people are exaggerating.

People learn by debating and discussing things. Whether they get "owned" or not, someone always walks away with more insight or knowledge about whatever is being discussed.

Mr.Fiction 03-12-2004 10:49 PM

Republicans control the Senate, the Congress, and the White House, but none of them are ever to blame when things get fucked up in America.

Political threads create discussion.
Discussion creates drama
Drama creates GFY.

Since when did Howard Stern pretend to be a family show?
Just where do you find little kids listening to the radio nowadays?
Not to mention that he's against gay marriages, he created a "Freedom from pornography week" and do I really need to go on? It's clear for anyone who's been following the news closely that Bush is a religious nut.

When John Ashhahahahaha testified before Congress during his confirmation hearings, he left no doubt that he believed the Internet was replete with pornographers who needed to be imprisoned, preferably for a very long time. "I am concerned about obscenity," Ashhahahahaha told the House Judiciary committee in June 2001, adding that prosecutions of Web pornographers "would be an objective of ours in this respect."

Then jets slammed into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, and Ashhahahahaha unexpectedly had real problems on his hands. Nearly three years later, as far as I can tell, the number of federal Internet obscenity prosecutions is precisely zero.

Look for that to change.

I guess that is the debate some people don't see things as getting fucked up, but as getting fixed. And of course they are to blame if things don't go right. Just as the Democrats get blamed when things don't go right. I guess I dont understand what you are trying to insinuate? Republicans aren't hearing anything about the economy now? Even though the downward spiral started in the Clinton years.

Yea but you have to break a law to be prosecuted. As far as I know running a porn site isn't breaking the law. Maybe someone can educate me on this but I haven't heard anything about any new laws being made outlawing porn on the internet.
