Both sexes have the ability to be just as primal as the other. The goal is to find someone with the similar or complimentary needs, wants and desires. Keep in mind though that the only person you can successfully please is yourself.

Just because a man admits to having primal urges doesn't make him a "bad person"... its all about honesty and self control.

However, if you think these so called "great guys" don't have those same urges EVERY DAY, you are fooling yourself, or they are doing a great job telling you what you want to hear to keep you happy and secure.

The only way I think to really gauge someone is if you know someone who lives with them and knows everything about them, like his sister or something. Other than that I guess you have to weed through the bad ones to find the good ones!

As for me, I already know ALL guys have those primal urges. But I just hope whoever I end up with can CONTROL their urges. As long as they don't act on it, it's all good.

I think he is right, its definitely not the same thing, if he has it in his head that he NEEDS to try out variety then its not enough to fantasize, however I don't think its inevitable that every guy will succumb to his more base urges.


I think in general he is right... I have met really horny driven girls who "crave" to be with many parthners before, but in my experience they are rare, and are often that way due to some problems they had in their past or in their childhood.

I think he is mostly right that the sexes evolved to optimally balance the population with opposing forces.

Think in terms of evolution:
-Imagine for a second if all men and women were driven to have sex with multiple partners all the time. There would be no family and offspring would suffer or even be neglected and ultimately the species wouldn't advance or survive.

-Now imagine that all men and women were completely monogamous and had no interest in seeking out other mates and had minimal sex drive. The diversity of the gene pool and the proliferation of the species would be at serious risk and if any major disasters came along we would easily be wiped out.

But in todays society, aren't most women more liberal and have a lot of partners and so forth? I think that society molded people into "thinking" that women don't crave different sexual partners, and that's how society conditioned women to think, so women tend to reinforce that sterotype because they don't want to be labelled "a slut". Perhaps women were always sexually agressive as men but it was repressed because it was not acceptable? And men like to use the excuse that they are programmed to "spread their seed" to account for their indiscretions/cheating

So it could be that nature intended for it to be a certain way, when humans were evolving so our species didn't die out....

But society has changed a lot, and it's not as pressing for humans to procreate as much as in the past.

Also, if a lot of women are doing something, than it can't be an exception. For example, I would say a majority of women have cheated as well, and have had one night stands, so you can't really say that it was because they got molested or because something bad happened in their childhood.
I think it's becoming the norm more than an exception!

You are probably right, evolutionary forces haven't had much to do with these urges for hundreds if not thousands of years, so social traditions may have more impact now than any primal genetic exigencies.

At least in my social circles, women are mostly conservative sexually, not "horny and driven" except in the privacy of their own monogomous relationships, and in general I don't know many women who have cheated.
