3 - 6 months if i want custom paint/leather though.

I have 2, 911 & a boxster. Good 4 the ladies:Graucho

Huggles 02-15-2004 09:44 PM

Damn, nice Quiet.

I think if I had enough for a Porsche, I would save a 'lil more to get a Ferrari. Not to put down Porsches at all, but at the exotic level I don't think the Porsche looks exotic enough. Looks great still, yeah, but it doesn't have that "OMG WOW!" look a Lambo or Ferrari do.

Except the Carrera GT... >bows down<

Correct me if Im wrong but you posted a pic of that car are few months ago saying that you were ready to take delivery of it. Is that the same car?

Why 02-15-2004 09:50 PM

apparently some people in this thread just dont appreciate the porsche the way the rest of us do.

ferraris are cool and all, but nothing like the beauty, history and style of porsche.

SleazyDream 02-15-2004 09:52 PM

it's soooo awesome to be able to afford cool toys

From the front, the Boxster looks like almost every other Porsche. ( Up until the last year or so )

I dunno, I see alot of Porsches in Vancouver. Like, alot. I see Ferraris as often as I see my car. ( 94+ Supra turbo )

I like Porsches, don't get me wrong, but when you're talking that kinda money, I'd get a Ferrari. Now that's exotic!

i took delivery of a new 911 C4S at the end of last summer. posted many pics of it. now looking at a turbo cabriolet (i miss the top down experience, even though i also have an S2000).

fuzebox 02-15-2004 09:53 PM

EXCELLENT choice :thumbsup

My only problem with the turbo cab is the weight... they're like 3800+ lbs dry, aren't they?

Za Ha 02-15-2004 09:54 PM

That will cost over 200k Canadian.

You can get an SL55 and keep a few grand in your pocket.
Or get a Viper and do the Hennessy (or whatever its called) packaged and it will be faster.

Very true.

Who gives a fuck if they're not as "rare" as other exotics.

Spud 02-15-2004 09:55 PM

Never heard Bugatti described as "Ugly and fat"... Jarmusch, you're going to hell in a Fiat :thumbsup

You too? my second car is a supercharged 350 rwhp S2000. :)

I'm 6'3, and damn, the seats make my back sore after a couple hours. :( I need to fit some recaros in it.

I do!

:thefinger

quiet 02-15-2004 09:57 PM

Ferraris. you know i love them.

however, i don't want a car that gives me the amount of headaches a Ferrari would. i'd love an Enzo (i can almost afford one, but the cost is just too out there), but the turbo is something i wanted since i was a kid. the turbo cab hasn't been offered in North America since 1989. and with the power option, it's extremely fast, smoking most other exotics....

i like high end cars, the problem I find is fitting in them. I've been in a few. no fucking chance I'd fit in a porche. too uncomfortable for a big guy like me. So i'm stuck to big trucks till i loose some weight - and even then with my height there isn't many high end cars that I fit into. :(

I think i may look at the cadalac hard top convertable this week or next if I get a chance to go into the city. I'm hoping it may have a bigger cockpit.

damn, that's really too bad. i'm just under 6 3, and no issues. in fact, i find the S2K has better seats than the 911.

strange.

cheaper isn't better. -go back to wallmart for your car parts, I hear they have some good deals for your chevette.

Spud 02-15-2004 10:02 PM

Corvette is one of the few sports cars built for us non vertically challenged folks. Personally I'd rather spend most of my driving time looking over everyone else, I just barrow friends sports cars when I want to head over the mountain for a land speed test.

You could fit into a Supra. I have a ton of room left in mine. At least 5 inches of headroom, a ton of leg room, and there's STILL room to move the seat farther back.

A Supra might not be your idea of a high-end car, as you can pickup a nice one for about 40k, but they are extremely fast, and very rare.

That Caddy should fit you as well, I believe it's made on the Corvette chassis. Should have a ton of room for the North American market. My S2000 is designed around people who aren't in the land of Supersize and Big Gulps. :(

I remember that..... wicked car.

How much to pick your brain for an hour? You would be the only one I would pay to see how your business mind works.

that's encouraging, as I'm 6'4........ :)

I'm one or two pounds overweight though and that usually adds to a comfort problem in sports cars.

take the mercedies 55sl for example - I was fine with the top down, my hair might have gotten a little more wind than most but that's ok, I was scrunched with the top up.

Yeah, my back KILLS after a drive in the S.

After buying the Supra, I need to put Recaros in anything I drive. They are like getting a massage just sitting in them. :)
