I just glanced through it and didn't see anything. Correct me if I'm wrong. I use Paydirect and the only issue I've had is with trying to get people to switch over.

"Please be aware that Yahoo! has created certain areas on the Service that contain adult or mature content. You must be at least 18 years of age to access and view such areas."

Evidently, they do accept adult.

I used firepay.com for the first time the other day to make a deposit at a poker site. Cheaper than epassporte. Can only fund with your bank account though, no credit card.

Choker 02-10-2004 06:04 PM

Signed up for yahoo. we will see. On the front page it states something new about being able to pay internationally.

why would a legitimate business man need an alternative to a first class billing solution like epassport?

Cash4Joins 02-11-2004 02:22 AM

epassporte the top of the list now? I quit

polish_aristocrat 02-11-2004 03:25 AM

Maybe because my business has exceeded the limits they impose on daily transfers?

I don't think they are your limits in some cases though Choker, it is the limits on the other end's accounts that are sometimes in the way, no?

Remember that there is a default limit built into the system regarding maximum amount of transfers daily unless we have verification on the account holder.

Now, just having spent 40 minutes trying to change the address on one of my Paypal accounts and still not being successful since I've used a cc for verification on one account and can't use the same one on another, I'm kinda ticked off, since I don't want to give them TWO cc numbers for obvious reasons... anyway, back to the thread, sorry for the rant.

Esther raised my limit so I am all set for now. Thanks a million for your help. but yes their is a concern about others limits if they are a buyer or a seller how much can I recieve/send to them a month? Paypal just limited all personal accounts to a $1000 a month I believe. What do I do about big buyers that send me 10 or 20k a month now?

Sure thing Choker, just don't let yourself get to the frustration point if you've got issues with it in the future, you know how to get ahold of me and you know I'll do what I can to help you out :)

Choker, I use Neteller for casino stuff and they have been nothing but top notch in my book. I don't know if they would fit into what you are doing but they rock. You can request a debit card to withdraw funds from an ATM, or transfer it to your bank account.

marttali 02-11-2004 03:21 PM

why dont u try moneybookers. beats all the rest

<IMX> 02-11-2004 03:27 PM

moneybookers is a pain to try to set-up and load your account.

My only problem with epassporte is I can't load money from my CC like I could do with PayPal. I have to go to the bank and do I wire transfer instead which is silly because I may as well send the wire directly to the other person instead of epassporte first and then send from epassporte to the other person.

Moneybookers has a limit of $900 per 90 day period for loading your account with your CC so that is no good either.

Why can't you load it from your cc card ?? Is it out of country ?

Hey Choker you edited after I posted ;-}}}}

If you've got guys who want to send in larger amounts of money than what's allowed per day or per month, have them contact me directly and I'll work with them and risk management to get their parameters lifted to where it shouldn't be any problem at all.

Kevin2 -- if you are talking about a commercial account then yes, it is loaded with a wire, which is not only a lot cheaper than a cc load, it's something you should be able to set up with your bank to do via telephone and not have to go in there every time.

CC's can load from anywhere, except Iran and Iraq, into our system provided they can be verified - if we can't verify them online directly there is a manual system that isn't very difficult.

KK it is a commercial account and the Bank requires me to go in to do wires. I have just switched to another bank this morning because they reckon I can do it online so I will test it :)

Smokey The Bear I'm in Australia :)

I couldn't find anything in their TOS that would preclude adult sites. Where did you read it?

Perhaps you may want to take a look at Duocash

http://www.duocash.com/merchants/Adu...antInfo3.0.pdf

We are putting together some VERY large deals that will be implemented in the next 60 days or so. We are using prepaid phone cards as virtual cash on the internet.

We are not in the business of selling phone cards. The problem with earlier business models has been distribution of proprietary cards. The retailers won?t stock the cards if the customers aren?t asking for them. The consumers aren?t aware of the cards if they aren?t on retailers shelves. It?s a chicken and egg type of issue.

In our case, we have done something different. We are taking a product that is ALREADY on the shelves, in distribution online, and in call centers. We are enabling the existing phone cards that are already on the market and being distributed, to be used by consumers to purchase digital content on the internet. This also avoids the issue of a single-use card that won?t be carried by retailers and distributors because of perception problems associated with a card that is specific to adult, gaming, etc?

I use e-gold.com but instead of Gold I have it all in Silver or Platinum. Much more "stable". I had a problem funding the account by having to find a reliable and fast exchange but once I did all I do is email them my request and they zap me the funds and debit my bank.

Which bank did you switch to? FYI Westpac can do online wire transfers, and at a very reasonable rate too. None of this $US40 per international wire rubbish.
