ThePornPusher 01-28-2004 10:48 AM

A whole 60? :Graucho I try doing 200 a day.

sickkittens 01-28-2004 10:49 AM

a whole 60? :1orglaugh

jk, ya gotta start somewhere :thumbsup

liquidmoe 01-28-2004 10:49 AM

It's not about how many you do but the quality of them. I get the same results from 3 sets of 20 as you probably get from 200. :winkwink:

polish_aristocrat 01-28-2004 10:49 AM

I've read sign ups, lol :1orglaugh

And what else you do for your health? 60 situps at once or 3x20?
When it hurts its the 1st time in your life that you did it?

galleryseek 01-28-2004 10:51 AM

That'll give you definition but it won't make them any stronger :winkwink:

Buff 01-28-2004 10:54 AM

I set the sit-up record at Ft. Hood, Texas, in 1990 with 127 in 2 minutes. (92 is the maximum required to get 100 points for the sit-up portion of the PT test)

I could probably only do about 90 in 2 minutes now.

block 01-28-2004 10:54 AM

If you haven't done them for a while even 60 will hurt the next day :)

Vitasoy 01-28-2004 10:55 AM

I can barely do 60 sit ups.... but I can do 200 push ups non stop :glugglug

Billy-HiRise 01-28-2004 10:55 AM

Brad who held your feet ??

Buff.. 90 in 2 min or 2 days ??

Just wondering

Phoenix 01-28-2004 11:01 AM

Brad, I'm only doing 50 a day, but then I do 100 extensions on an ab wheel. THAT is a bitch!
You should get one, they really work the upper abs well.

GonePhishing 01-28-2004 11:12 AM

I need to start doing sit ups again!

BradShaw 01-28-2004 11:13 AM

Been working out with a trainer 3 times a week. Too early to see results, and too much travel. But I can feel I am getting in a groove now.

Reaching for a roast beef sandwich on the coffee table doesn't count as exercise.

BradShaw - If you think you're sore now, you should try going through a program of physical therapy for sacroiliitis ( lower back trouble). They said I had no ab/back strength and began me on a program of one hour phys. therapy a day. OMG, they worked my butt off but I will FOREVER be in their debt. Just the stabilization and less pain is enough to make me want to cry, not to mention the added benefits of posture and nice abs. I have to keep doing them for the rest of my life, but it's not difficult at all after I began to gain some strength.

alm4n 01-28-2004 12:52 PM

NiTe-HaWk 01-28-2004 12:52 PM

you gotta strengthen the CORE. It all starts in the middle, baby!!!!

liquidmoe 01-28-2004 01:24 PM

I heard the gazelle was quite good except only the one with variable resistance, the cheaper one doesnt give you nearly as good a work out.

shawcutie 01-28-2004 02:00 PM

Mr. Shaw doesnt know it yet but I bought him "the ball". When I first started working out my trainer had me use this big beach ball. I hated it and would come home and tell Bradley horror stories about what they made me do with this damn ball!!! LOL Its actually a really good workout tool. I bought him one the other day at WalMart, I am going to surprise him and put it in his office ;-)))

Libertine 01-28-2004 02:03 PM

I used to do 1200 a day. Also used to run 8 miles a day and do about 400 pushups a day.

I doubt I could do even 200 now though :(
