Football is okay, Basketball is crap. If I wasn't addicted to hockey I'd be following football. Baseball is average.

i like watching football because to have success in the game you have to have a sound defense. especially in college/pro's because for the most part the offensives are made up of the best of the best atheletes that can be recruited/bought so the defenses have to be great or be crushed. look at the 2 teams that are playing for the super bowl, 2 defensive teams who basically did what they wanted to their opposing teams. i've played soccer, bball and soccer so i appreciate those 3 sports a lot but football is just more of a chess game to me.

p.s. i hate high scoring football games.

have you ever been to a football game brad? that might be one of the reasons you find the game boring. i felt hockey was very until i went to a minor league hockey game and so how much faster then game is in real life. i'm damn near a borderline hockeyfan too

I personally don't like to watch a bunch of millionaires throw the ball around and fuck up their bodies at a young age. If they were smart they would get a 1 year multimillion dollar contract and get the fuck out ;) Hockey is fun live, I must admit, my dad used to take me and it was awesome to hear them smashing into everything and everyone. The fights were always cool too ;)

if they were smart they would continue to play 16-19 games per season making 2-3 million per year after being raped by the government and everyone else then retire at the ripe old age of 30. getting paid to play a game that they have played their entire lives is a blessing, it wouldn't be a smart move to leave something like that.

Football is more exciting and entertaing. I will admit though, Australian rules football kicks our version of football in the ass. It's waay waay tougher and more action packed.

Soccer is the most popular sport world wide because it's the only sport that poor ppl can play. All u need is a ball and your feet, you don't even need to buy a ball, you can make your own or use a bottle or can.

4 hours? I don't think so! Soccer has 45 minutes each way with a 15 minute break for half time. An hour an a half game from start to finish is 1hr 45mins - stoppage time is never more than a few minutes at the end of each half.

I'd like to ask how a game that's supposed to last an hour and a half takes all afternoon to play? I'm with Brad - American Football sucks ass!

You took rugby and gave your guys full padding because they couldn't take the pain - if you're going to play full contact, at least do it right. Put the All Blacks or Tonga up against the top American Football team without their pads and they'll get their asses whooped!

Yeah, maybe they should give 7 points per goal, that there would mean lots more points! Maybe even throw in 3 hours of advertising, and take a brake every five seconds and completely ruin the flow of the game, constantly change the players on the field, add about 500 rules etc. Then first soccer would be a real sport, right?

Also, 1-0?? Even Australia scores more often than that!!
