I bought it off ebay 6 months ago

Check your credit card's purchase protection plan, if you have it enabled. See if its one of the rarer agreements that allow for purchase protection/purchase replacement for broken/dropped items.

That sucks man - that A70 is a killer little camera. I almost bought one myself (cause I needed a little point-n-shoot) but instead spent a little more and got a Canon S400 Elph. This little camera kicks my ass :winkwink:

Mail it back to the company, asking about a simple problem , then when they get it claim it must have been damaged during shipping and hope they send you another one.
