I was surprised today when I found there are still rooms available at the Venetian. I registered one in a hurry.

Where are you staying?

Switched from Treasure to Venetian.

1. Call the Venetian.
2. Ask for their best rate.
3. Create a BELIEVABLE, cheaper price that you "saw online".
4. Offer to pay in advance (non-refundable) if they can beat the price.


You may be surprised at the rates you'll be offered.

i'm staying in the Venezia, the venetian's new business tower. Should be nice, supposed to be more targeted towards business users, plus it puts me just far enough away from the partying to be comfortable.

Mirage.

Am too lazy to walk to the convention floor. Limo picks me up at the Mirage and drops me at the main Sands doors.

Done the mile walk from the Venitian Elevators to the show floor too many times.

Because it sucks balls as far as I'm concerned, and I agree with Elvis, I'm too lazy to walk down that hallway.

I'm also not a big fan of staying where the show is, I like to be able to get away from the show and have some peace and quiet when I want to sleep.

That walk is a nightmare. I am not looking forward to it. But I figured if I become extremely intoxicated (ala Sleazy Dream) at one of the Suite parties I'd much rather stumble around the casino looking for my room than to accidentally stumble into traffic looking for a cab. :winkwink:

Ah well, I'm not much expecting to be stumbling anywhere this trip. Got my cast off and I don't need another one.

At the Harrahs website, they have rooms for $49 bucks and it is right next to the venitian.

I stayed there for the June 2001 show and it was a disaster..

a) On check in my card was swiped as everywhere.. I didn't know they'd put a hold on some of my $$$ in case I did a runner.. I discovered this out when my card wouldn't get me any cash out of the ATM there. I was extra pissed as I'd paid for the room in advance.

b) They also charged someone elses $200+ meal in the Chinese restauarant there to my card.. FRAUD in my eyes.. I had murders with them and was eventually comped for the amount taken by mistake which enebled me to treat 2/3 pals to their meals for the next two days we were there.

The result should have been that a few hundred dollars should have been paid back to my bank account on the Monday after the show.. Not a fucking hope in hell.. It took a lot of phone calls to Vegas to get the money repaid by the following Friday...

DO NOT STAY AT HARRAH'S .. IT'S A RIP OFF !!!!
