Which Counter Stats Do You Trust?
 

So I got a porngraph counter, a counted.com (less known but I've liked them for a while) counter, a sextracker counter, and my webalizer stats up and running, and each one is showing me different things. Webalizer shows the most vists, then counted.com, then sextracker, and then porngraph which surprisingly shows about 25% of what the other counters report.

So who do I trust, my main concern is of course possible hit botters before I've been able to weed them out easily based on the differences between UCJ and counted.com stats. UCJ is most in agreement with Webalizer/counted than they are porngraph stats.

Whats most reliable for you? What should I trust, it's not exactly small deviations either if according to porngraph Im only getting 25% of what counted says.

Try to trade with people you know , people you dont know keep an eye on the trades

Go with your gut, if a new trade seems fishy and it aint looking legit do some research on it.

All counter will have different results that a given.

Also if a trade signs up with no contact info and so on , it rasies a flag at least for me.

Keep in mind also that hitbots these days are getting advanced.
They can go 3-4 levels deep so if a trade you trust looks fishy talk to him cause he might be the one getting fucked and the hits are trickling down all over.

porngraph seems pretty good.

I've used paycounter for almost 2 years, they seem to be very good.

I don't trust any, but I use paycounter and sexlist...

webalizer is server side, therefore most accurate
it will use the raw apache logs

I have used paycounter and they have great stats and are usually right on with my webalizer... But I never got paid from pay counter????

The advice on trades definitely makes sense, I'll be looking to that more. I havent checked out paycounter I may give it a whirl. Overall Im sort of mixed on webalizer because it is pretty good, but I've seen it have a few problems like hot linking and referrer stats being messed up because of it, plus it reports the most visitors out of anybody so I try not to rely on it otherwise I may end up thinking I have more traffic than I actually do.

I think being more careful about my trades and investigating them more is the best route, because if I trust all of my trades I know I wont have hitbotters then if 4 out of 5 stats programs report one figure, and one reports something extremely low like porngraph, then it will just be easier to throw out that low figure on account of some error.

Webalizer, has proven itself to be consistently reliable. If you have Urchin that's good too.

The only way to go.

Always count your own outbound hits... calculate your own VPC.

I track all my inclicks and outclicks live into a database... Wouldn't have it any other way. Totally flexible and always accurate.

liquidmoe.... before I can comment on this I would need to know a few things:
1) How big is your site? How many hits are we talking here?
2) We are talking uniques or actual page views?

If you answer me I can give you all the answers :)
