I'm very concerned that he's going to get off, I've followed that case every day since last December...it's awful and everyone knows he's guilty as a motherfucker and cocky on top of that.

I guess we'll see, but god I hope he gets the death penalty....what he did was the most horrible crime a husband and father could ever commit....makes you really think hard aobut our justice system....

Exactly. It's not a jury's job to judge how 'cocky' Peterson is, but if it can be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that he did it. And I still think there are some reasonable doubts out there on this one.

I did not say they should convict because he is cocky...I said the jury wouldn't like him.

As for O.J. - I watched the entire trial on TV. (yes, I was a bored housewife back then). I thought he was guilty as fuck. But, I would have had to find him not guilty because of the question of evidence being mishandled.

As for Scott Peterson, we don't know enough facts about the case. I do find it VERY odd that he told his girlfriend this would be his first Christmas without his dead wife.

Did you watch the ENTIRE trial, or just get that information from the news highlights. Yes, I thought he was guilty, but, there was a small question in my mind about it because of SLOPPY police work. If you don't TOTALLY CONVINCE me that somebody committed murder, I sure as hell am not going to send them to prison for life.

I never heard Scott Peterson was golfing. He gave the cops his receipt from the marina when he reported his wife missing. He placed HIMSELF at the scene, nobody else did.

I'm amazed at the "trial by TV" and the comments by, supposed legal professionals on TV. Also the extent to which any court/judge/cops/prosecutors indulge the press with details about the case.

The trial ain't even started yet but we have a considerable amount of detailed information in public knowledge - an amazing legal system!!

At the end of the day Lacy and her little boy were killed and thats so sad. If Scott did it he lives with that for the rest of his life and if he didnt then he lives with knowing someone killed his first born son and wife. Tragic event..

Take a factual look at things, OJ's blatant lies and inconsistencies, the fact he can't account for his blood and hair being all over the place, at the Bundy crime scene (even though he denied having bled there, which was a lie), his ADMITTING he bled at Rockingham on THE NIGHT OF THE MURDERS, his conflicting statements about how he cut his finger, which one could also term LYING, the fact there was a trail of HIS BLOOD from the murder scene all the way INTO HIS HOME........lets be reasonable........

I never bought into the conspiracy theory. Do I think it is possible that one or two rogue cops could have done some things wrong? Yes. The cops, and the criminalists seemed full of shit almost as often as O.J. and his lawyers. I think the fucker is a cold-blooded murderer, who got away with it. But I also know that it is the cops, criminalists, and prosecutors responsibility to do things right, and to not leave me with any question about his guilt. As a white, southern female, I seriously doubt that MY opinion is based on racism, as Twistyneck eluded to. So, if I were on that jury, I am not sure I could have convicted him. They should ban tv and reporting from all courts until a person has been covicted or aquitted -

I must admit that speaking as a Brit who now lives in the US I find it unbelievable the way some of these high profile cases are played out on TV before the trial. How anyone in those cases can get a fair trial is beyond me. It wouldn't happen in the UK, and I'm convinced that the legal system in the UK would have convicted OJ had he been tried at the Old Bailey.

Peterson is a different case because all the evidence is circumstantial. I would think that most reasonable people believe he is guilty, but whether or not there is sufficient evidence to get a conviction is another matter.
