Telus fucked me in the ass today

Yeah. So I lost my ADSL connection again. To make a long story short we had static on our phone line - the repair rep came out and rewired our NID (phonebox) and fucked everything up.
We call in to get help and they say it will be 5 days to send someone out. Too bad so sad. We try to get a manager 4 times and every rep says no - too bad.

Ordered Shaw internet - hopefully it will come in by wednesday.

Horrible customer service. I am the most patient and understanding person ever. And to raise my blood pressure is almost an IMPOSSIBLE feat.

Amazing how a company can operate so terribly.

Those fucking phone companies and such are used to working in an uncompetitive market. Their BS will cost them tons of $$$ on shit like high speed internet access. That is of course unless your cable company is full of dickwads also.

Damn Canadians!

Nope. This is an American phone company that bought BCTel out 3 years ago or more now. :D

Not Canadian at all.

I used to work for Telus & it's a joke of a company. I wanted to find out about getting a second net connection at home & phoned to find out what they're charging for DSL these days. They wanted $200 up front for the modem, so I went with Shaw cable instead. Awesome service, great speed, totally happy with it.

But Telus...charged my fucking phone bill the $200 even though I didn't order or get the DSL service! I called them 3 or 4 times, always assured that the charge would be removed from my bill. Eventually I ended up having to pay it because I got a disconnection notice. Fuckers! :BangBang:

Brad-Wishing 11-24-2003 06:29 PM

Yep. I have a $300 bill for services I don't even have. Such as dialup internet and long distance service.
Not to mention move fees, DSL install fees and more.

It's amazing. We've escalated to the Excecutive Resolution Team who have yet to call us back. The reps on the phones have NO idea what is going on.

When I told the rep the first time my ADSL was not working he ran me through some bullshit mickey mouse tests which I already did.

He then proceed to tell me my ADSL was not working. I laughed and said "No shit, you dumb bastard." and hung up. I have NO patience for these $8 an hour morons who are INCAPABLE of doing a simple job.

No one in that company has the ability to do anything. It needs to be shut down or deregulated.

5 days, you're lucky.

Telus has been under a lot of fire recently because of their service backlog... Guess what happens when you go and fire six thousand employees... It'll take a little longer.

There's some neurosurgeon out in the suburbs who's on call but his phone is down, and won't be restored for another 4 weeks. His cell also doesn't work at his house, he has to walk up to the top of the hill to get an analogue connection.

The company is fucked,.

Brad-Wishing 11-24-2003 06:40 PM

Nono. See it took 19 days to get THIS moron here who fucked it up even more.

Just had to correct you. TELUS is in fact a wholly Canadian owned company, headquartered in Calgary Alberta. TELUS used to be Alberta Government Telephones (AGT), and picked the TELUS name when the Alberta Government removed themselves from the telecommunications industry.

Shaw hi speed cable is better than that useless telus anyway.

RaGe 11-24-2003 07:15 PM

I wish Shaw was available here in Toronto.. ugh

I have no complaints with Telus..I just upgraded to 2.5 dsl and it seems great and it only took them about a week to install it. *shrugs*

the lesser of two evils really...

I complain to friends about Telus on a daily basis. We have a business adsl line in the office with Telus and I swear that it's messed up on a daily basis... it's a constant headache.

And I also am not impressed that within the course of a week I went from 0 spam to 1000's of spam every day to my telus email address. One day they're hurting for money and the next day I'm getting 1000's of spam every day... coincidence??
