If you need to ask that question, you should probably stay away from throwing parties. There's a ton involved and it's not as easy as it might seem.

put a lot of flyers in colleges and hire DJ shortcut or DJ blast :thumbsup

Can these DJ also ooze the crowd? I need people that can talk to the crowd as I will be organizing a few contests at these parties.

So I need a good flyers designer, anyone in particular u would recommend that can do it at an affordable price?

Alex...you need a solid DJ, an MC (apart from the DJ with a cordless mic), girls, girls, girls, security who listen to you to make sure your crowd gets in...be creative but Montreal is overwhelmed with flyers...so get other promoters on board with you so that you can reach the masses and not conflict schedules with other big parties.

Alex, if you are really gonna go down this route give me a shout on ICQ. I've got experience throwing parties upwards of 3500 attendees. I'll fill you in...and set you up with some kickass flyer design as well.

How do usually these other pay these other promoters?
Do you give them a percentage of the gross or net procceed (how much) ?

It depends on who you work with. I help my buddies out for free, and they in turn help me. Some will want cuts off the door, some will want free alcohol, it is really case by case. When I work with a new promoter, I usually take a flat rate for everyone who shows up on my guest list.......it's all negotiable in the promoting industry.

IMHO it should start in February with recurrences every 3 or 4 weeks. The theme will change at every party but they will all pretty much be in the "Girls Gone Wild" concept. I don't mind you babysitting your girls you be bringing to these parties.:) I'll contact you for sure.

It all depends on who you are looking to come to your party? If it's college kids, pay some frats and sorrorities to advertise for you.(pay them with free admissions.) If it's a more upscale crowd, go to the location where you think you'll find them and approach them yourself and invite them into your "VIP" party.

A good "hook" and theme to the party.

A well-known D.J. and good sound equipment.

Design your marketing campaign to get girls in the venue as early as possible.

I have contacted a few clubs in and around Montreal that are willing to rent their premises including one or two security people. Now my concern is not having enough girls come to the parties, I'd like to have 40-50% of the people to be girls, and staff (DJ, MC, promoters, etc.)!
