no but here in canada we have a plan that on december 15th all 3500 citizens will stand outside and blow air eastwords for 1 hour sending the arctic cold air towards NKorea freezing their plans in its tracks!

I don't think that they will bomb them to stop it. If anything North Korea will step back with some sort of increased aid from the US.

The US isn't going to do anything. North Korea isn't Iraq. If the US goes into North Korea it will be going into China's back yard, and that's not going to happen. Geopolitics 101.

Because of the lack of WMD's in Iraq Bush has probably lost too much political capital to really go after North Korea - both inside and outside the US.

Building a consensus now would even be more difficult than it was prior to the Iraq war. Not that consensus is a must but the support of China is necessary and Russian support would help.

Bush could do it anyway but I think it would be too great a risk to his political career. Also, I think the cost of a large troop commitment would be prohibitive.

I won't be surprised if I'm wrong. Way too many factors.
