Please just explain why are you so sure that USA will win a war against N. Korea? The last war between USA and N. Korea was lost... I don't want to affirm anything here. I just wonder why the people are so sure. IMHO no one can predict all possible results of such a war...

In the Korean war, the US (+ many other countries) had driven North Korean troops far back into North Korea. China surprised the US and sent 380,000 troops across the border. Not to mention Russian made (Chinese piloted) Migs started hitting US positions. For what it's worth, the original goal was to push NK troops out of South Korea. To this day they still are. Goal attained.

You're right. War can be unpredictable. Surely, agreements with China would be made today. Back then it was confusing as the US didn't even recognize the mainland China government as the Chinese government.
