He just made the statement that Afghanistan is free and the Taliban are no more. Guess he hasn't talked to his military commanders recently.

What a bunch of bullshit. The only city that is free in Afghanistan is Kabul. The rest of the country is still messed up with Taliban all over the place.

None of your four applied to where I went to school, and ALL of what I said did.

The Bad teachers get fired,
The Good teachers go where the money is, and/or the students actually care to learn.
Our PCs were so new, the teachers didn't know how to run them.
And, I never had a class with more than 29 other students.
Even when half the students couldn't speak a word of english, they were forced into classrooms, learned nothing, and slowed down everyone else's progress.

I enjoyed Brazil's speech -- the emphasis was on feeding the hungry and opening relationships between borders... that's really the solution... As Brazil said there's enough wealth and technology in this world for everyone to enjoy the benefits -- primarily of eating food, all it will take is some optimism and imagination... when everyone is eating their fill of food there's not really much to be angry about, even among terrorists.

The Taliban fighters no longer exist as a cohesive fighting force. The Presidents speech was factual...level headed...and reasonably well delivered. FYI NATO has announced that greater expansion of control is/or will soon be taking place.

Higher hourly wages wouldn't make the teachers that are already teachers better, it would make more qualified people apply for the job.
