Brilliant analysis...much as I expected. I did not know that teachers are not well educated...are High School grads teaching in your world? BTW...just what income level do you perceive as allowing for a decent standard of living?

Higher hourly wages wouldn't make the teachers that are already teachers better, it would make more qualified people apply for the job. Teaching wages are shit, we should fork out more money for the education of our kids if we want them to actually run the world and take care of us in the home some day :2 cents:

What is your definition of "more qualified"?

It's hard to put on paper, usually teachers need to be fully evaluated before their teaching skills and methods can be judged. In my high school we had new teachers every year because the ones that got a good evaluation would be picked up by higher paying towns. Even though our town was wealthy, we were cheap and the quality of education suffered for it.

Again, reality check for theking! The taliban is not only regaining it's foothold in Afghanistan, today's newspapers & tv shows are announcing that Mullah Muhammad Omar, the leader of the Taliban, is again training and planning with the Taliban in Afghanistan.

"greater expansion of control" by Nato is just another one of those ambiguous phrases that really says nothing.

Even in Kabul..the President dares not leave his residence without a HUGE bodyguard detail and his wearing body armor.

Where the Taliban is not in control of the country side, the war lords are! Yep..we sure did make Afghanistan FREE & Stable! What a joke!

Oh no...the same Mulla Muhammad Omar that trained and planned the brilliant defense of his country. I better encourage the President to withdraw our forces...oh wait....once again how many days/weeks was it before that brilliant...well lead...and dedicated fighting force collasped?

Give Bush some credit, it's not easy to make hundreds of millions of people all over the world laugh.

Control and being present does not correlate. I will repeat that the Taliban is no longer a cohesive fighting force.

Really? Where do you get your info from King? American servicemen are still getting killed in Afghanistan. So who exactly is killing them?

You are talking semantics.

If Afghanistan no longer has the problem of the Taliban why are we still tasking missions every single day around the clock over there then?

Some of your posts are right on, but so many have no factual basis whatsoever. Sorry.

scooby doo as scooby does 09-23-2003 02:44 PM

I'm laughing. This is the 'irrelevant' UN according to Bush and his war-mongerers. The one they ignored when attacking Iraq. It's bloody funny to see Bush, cap in hand, begging for money, troops and support from the UN. I really hope Chirac and the rest tell him to GFY on this issue. The world needs a sane American leader in the UN.

Yeah the same. With the same group of people that either planned or helped protect the 9/11 plotters.

You still laughing now asshole? Those people killed over 3000 american citizens! Really funny haha not.

President Bush had just finished his speech and was starting toward the exit.

``No one comes or goes!'' shouted the handler for the media.

First down the elevator was first lady Laura Bush, then President Bush accompanied by National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice, Secretary of State Colin Powell, secret security and numerous other aides. The reporters began shouting. ``Mr. President! Mr. President!''

He looked over to the six cameras lined up and following his steps, waved and shouted, ``Hey there!''

Hey there!

So much class .

Nice diplomacy. Doesn't even stay by respect while other nations address the council... nor the US delegation.

You really need to get rid of this barn educated cowboy....

Note the words "cohesive fighting force". Americans kill Americans everyday and sometimes servicemen...but those Americans do not represent a "cohesive fighting force". Where did I say "remnants" of the Taliban do not present a problem?

Man, you are so far up Bush's ass you can't see anything but his butt hairs. After Bush spoke, he met with a number of world leaders in one-on-one meetings. That's what most of the senior level delegates do. They don't sit around all day listening to each other's speeches. Man, your news must be a propaganda machine to fill your head with such nonsense.

Go read the white house press reports from today if you want the leaders and the meeting times. It'll all be very obvious to you then.

I'm pretty sure that's why he has... get this... delegates.

Senators, Representatives, other world leaders... they all do the same thing. Busy people don't listen to speeches. They take advice from those who listen to speeches.
