You guys have been paying 20% of sales for years now so when are you going to start paying us 50%?

I have to sale $500.00 with of smut to earn $100.00 and I think it's time you guys start giving us a bigger cut.

Sure you pay on time and you have fantastic content but damn guys - 20% - I'm sure you could do much better then that.

That's a different business model than a regular paysite.
I'm pretty sure their content providers take a pretty hefty % per rental.

The only other site I know of that offers something similar is dreamzotic, they pay 30%.

Send more traffic and you could probably negotiate yourself a better deal....

You are a referrer and don't have any costs of production and distribution. Your overhead is nil. Bandwidth zilch. Effort, nada.

Justify why you should make 20% and not just 15% like a marketer in any other industry?

Why should they do all the work and give you 50%?

What effort do you really make to "earn" a sale? Use their graphics, their content, their system, etc.?

aebn has to pay the owners of the movies their percentage, then they pay the bandwidth as well. paysites lease the content and the bandwidth is included in the lease price or else they own the content and only pay bandwidth.

I know I am not the greatest adult webmaster here... or anywhere for that matter but am I missing something? Thier not paying out enough (for you) so you come here an complain about it? Why not drop them a get another sponsor?

I really disagree with this assessment. Referrer overhead is not nil, in fact, far from it.

Affiliates are business partners that have a very important role to play in an adult site's business plan. Unless the site is well-capitalized and has the expertise to market on it's own, affiliates provide a very valuable service, often investing their own funds and having their own distribution overhead...

I really like their daily hosted videos and use them on almost all my sites. The video consoles are nice, videos are of good quality and lenght, and the banners are not intrusive, nor are there any popups. I'd say their program is a great free plugin with an upsell bonus. Maybe you need to look at it that way Jack?

I'd say they negociated a 50% rate or something with the video studios. I bet the studio's are a pain in the ass to deal with when doing this and they wouldn't want to give out to much to AEBN. I'd say if they paid you 50% they'd make a big fat loss.

If you think we're so bad, then drop us, but honestly, look at it.

We have to pay the bandwidth, hosting, etc... then pay out the manuf. and then pay the affiliates.

Sure we could offer 50% but that would put US in the negatives... and i mean, come on... we're a buisness.... we need to make money just like you do.

So yeah, 20% may be low.... but if you do the math, it's better than anyone else that's offering the same services.......

Fair enough. You have a lot of expenses, that is easy to understand. However, I think you will find people would push AEBN products harder if you bumped it to say 25%-30%.

Please tell me what expense the referring webmaster has when they are including AEBN in their member's area?

There is no production cost, ie models to pay, videos to encode, editing, etc. and there is no post production in adding it to a site, setting up processing or what have you.

This is not the same referral relationship a webmaster has that is using galleries to send traffic to a sponsor and has to pay for bw, make galleries. get traffic or whatever.

The webmaster has precious little to do to make money off of a pay per view product like AEBN. That is why they should not get the same percentage of the referral relationship that you are referring to, imo.

20% is fair, since nobody seems to be beating it. as Alien says it's not exactly rocket science to set up PPV, go make the same deals with the video studios and pay webmasters 30% and you might become king of the PPV heap.

i'm amazed how they got so many studios involved, pretty good achievment. i remember when AEBN was a live strip club feed site with probably 5 members.

and the relationships you build with your sponsors,

yes 20% is lower than say a 50/50 program, so its less money up front, but consider this,

largest content database on the web, best quality, pay per view billing options, so no chargebacksj,

so think diversification from current visa tensions, this is NOT a recurring model,

also understand, that they are giving a high quality co branded theater, and they sell awesome plug in and so on,

and they do very well, so if the market demanded 30% or more they would have to adapt, but I think they do fine the way they are,

you guys who are kncking them really dont have any buisness telling them how to run there business,

very few programs have full length full screen, jenna jameson videos, which is probably the most in demand content on the web,

and keep in mind there business model requires that they pay the producer a royalty, so the content owner gets a cut ,the processors get a cut and they get a cut, with you, so its a 4 way battle, everyone wants to get the biggest %,

maybe you should bitch less and maybe work on your sals reps at aebn for a raise,???

I for one am very happy with AEBN and my 20%. I do very well with them thank you very much.

I've got my $750 buck saved up for my ePASSPORTe.com account and intend to use AEBN.com for their "educational" feeds.

I've not heard or read anything negative about them.
So far anyways ...
