Webmaster etiquette when meeting me in public
 

Sat night my family and I are out at Bufflo Wild Wings off of FM1960.
Which includes my wife, my 9 year old son, a female cousin and myself.

I was waring my PIB shirt. Everything is cool up to this point, we're eating and having good old family meal of hot wings.

Well there I was just minding my own business when this drunk webmaster comes up to my table and says "shit I thought that was a porn is bad shirt you had on. How the fuck are you? I'm Bony (Bones or something like that, can't remember). What your fucking nick?"
This went on for a bit. My wife is looking at me in shock and so is my son.

So I nicely said to him let go smoke a cig so I could get him away from the table.
Once outside I explained to him that I don't mine webmasters coming up to me in public as long as they show some kind of etiquette in doing so.

The cusing in front of my son is what really got to me.
I meet webmasters ever now in then because I do ware my porn shirts in public. But I have never had a webmaster do what this guy did in front of my family.

So if you see me out and about, it's cool. I'd be very happy to meet you as long as you keep things clean. I'll even talk business with you away from my family.

The PIB shirt is pretty mild compared to some main stream Tee's you see on the street. There are a few of my porn shirts that I wouldn't ware in front of him but.

But I understand where your coming from and I do share the same thought about it but the PIB shirt is far less offensive then some of the tee's you see on teens now a day.

Yep and if you were wearing one of those 'bad' ones and someone came up to you and said something, it would have been the same thing - believe me, I'm not perfect but I don't wear clothes that say porn or have words I don't want my kid saying on them, it's just a matter of not encouraging him.

I should also mention that I wouldn't walk up to someone with a kid, whether I knew them or their kid, and start spouting off profanities in the course of the conversation.

Don't know what a PIB shirt looks like but I can see where if it is objectionable (or was somewhat sexually graphic) how the offending person may have thought it was ok to behave as they did ..... or they may have just been a drunk jackass

When the shirt was put on, I was working and at home. My wife, knowing that I love hot wings, decided that I should take her to dinner. I honestly didn't think about the shirt. I wear it at home. The PIB shirt in my opinion is not that bad. The girl is covered and it does state that Porn is Bad. Plus, I feel that when you censor what a child learns, that they go looking for it. My work is never done in front of my son and my PIB shirt is the only one I will wear when my son is around. My GFY shirt has only been worn when my wife and I have gone out. Or I am out and about by myself. My son really has never said anything about the shirt. Now after Dickweed came up cursing and causing a scene, he had lots of questions. Which my wife handled in her own way. She is one of the Moms who feels that everything should be put on the table when there are questions.

Now, I hope that you don't think that I am a bad Dad. I try to sheild my son from all of the crap that is out there. And I love my son. He is the reason that I work as hard as I do.

What I also know is that kids pick up on what they see, and I can only imagine how many of them would be going to school saying "my dad has porn shirts" no matter what the shirt said about porn itself ;)

Very true Kimmy! I can't argue with that. But that's pretty much the only one that he's been exposed to.

i dont have kids and pretty much everyone i go out with knows what i do, but there are times when it would really suck to have something like that go down, so i agree, people should show some respect and keep it down.

but i dont have any shirts other then a couple of python ones that Brad sent me, everyone always Jipo's me out of sending me one.

Drunk assholes are the worst to deal with in business.

From having an 11 year old girl the porn is bad shirt on in front of a child just dont sit right with me.

Certain things are for when kids arent there and also, there are people that see you with that on and the kid there and just start making assumptions without even as much as a hello.

Good move on hustling the drunk away with the lets catch a smoke line. I'll have to remember that one for down the road.....

as I was paying the receptionist his good looking blonde assistant busted out laughing behind me, I guess she figured out what it said, lol

i wear all my shirts everywhere, strip clubs, bars, and evn under my shirts in night clubs, so when i get hot i can take the one on top off.

the reason i do this is because its advertisement, especially when its about 6 on las vegas blvd, and all wearig the same shirts, it draws attention people ask questions, i get signups, however every now n then i run into some adult webmasters, most seem to be cool, soem seem to be like that guy.

i do knwo one thing tho, if you dont want drunk porn webmasters coming up to you, dont go out with your family wearing porn site shirts, your just asking for it

trust me your 9 years old son propably hears much worse shit than that in his school
