Epassporte realy fuck us over
 

I just looked at what I get when I withdraw money from an ATM with Epassporte.

8000.00 CZK deducted $292.93 from my account

This dollar amount should have given me 8,371.09 CZK

So there's a 9% loss, then they charge me 8% for processing and the client 10% for depositing the money. Not bad, on every sale I lose 17% and the customer gets charged 10%

Guess with the crap service they give, the refusal to send confirmation emails and the reluctance people have to use them it's time to move on.

I have never used Epassporte, as there offering did not appeal to me for various reasons.

Took me a long time to "trust" PayPal. I use PayPal frequently and reccomend PayPal.

Yes, I heard it's especially good in adult transactions.

What else is there? Paypal doesn't want porn, stormpay looks sketchy at best. ??

You know getting your own merchant account would be cheaper.

I am giving stormpay a shot. Epassporte will be my last choice.

Regular clients now get instant download when they choose this option or to send check.

Am looking into this, the problem is I do not have a track record in the US. Only been in the business 25 years and built a reputation on trust, but what the fuck does that count for. They let people be third party processors, who could not run an orgy in a brothel.

In all fairness, I would never use western union or a check cashing store.

Paypal no longer wants to be associated with porn, they will shut you down if they find out you use their service for porn. Many webmasters have also had their $ held, pending investigation of their accounts.

You are wasting your time, I daily get 2-3 guys ask why I no longer take Paypal. They just do not understand.

Paypal was the best and the cheapest, but they are gone and it's time to move on.

What about Yahoo's service, or something like bidpay?

I understand talk to erin at netbilling.com and see if she can help you out if you sell things online you need a merchant account especially now when 3rd party billers are droping like flies :(

It's not legal to not send you confirmatione email for this type of
service, they also need to send you monthly transaktion statment.

I'm curious, why do webmasters need to get instant to content? Can't they just send M.O. or cheques and wait one to four weeks before getting the content ordered! I, for one, have never used Paypal, nor Epassporte, nor Stormpay and I don't deal with any webmaster that require me to use such online services for their services.

I always want my (picture)content instantly. I NEVER take it on cd.

Do you think anyone would send me a cheque for traffic that I would deliver 1 month later?...

I mostly pay for my traffic by cheque, it takes 3-5 days for my cheques to clear and I buy traffic for a one month period. On some occassion I will use my credit card to purchase traffic, but never have I used Paypal, Epassportes or Stormpay...

I know when I sent a western union the other day it was quite a large fee.. and I had to get off my ass and go do it. And I think it was at least 15%

Id still trust epassporte over anyone else.. At least they have an adult company backing it so you shouldnt get b.s. treatment that you will from other non adult pay services.

Paypal has shut my account down about 3 times in the last year for misc. crap.

Your money conversion stuff is beyond me.. Although I have noticed when I travelled I used to get some screwy rates from different places. That included banks, airports, shops etc..

I'd stay with epassporte, unless there is some credible alternative.

got one setup when flashcash paid me through there... I got suckered in by the "Use it anywhere just like a real card"

I joined ePassporte so I could deposit money at Party Poker. I paid $100, $95 was loaded onto my account. If I recall correctly, it's a 5% charge to the user just to add money to his account. Yeh, ok. Party Poker must have realized that most people wouldn't go for that, so they give you credit for the difference... which I thought was really nice.

What I'd really like to see with content producers is a credit line. I know it would be pretty risky, but for established clients or established people in the industry, maybe they would consider it. I'm sure some content producers already allow their better clients to have a credit line. A couple months back I ordered a custom video shoot from one producer and I was totally shocked that they did the shoot before asking a penny of me.

Anyway, a credit line would be excellent. First month start with something small, then gradually build the account as long as it's paid off. Would probably be a bitch for producers to administer, maybe this would be a nice new service for a third party broker?

Only certain sites are currently accepting Epassporte virtual visa... I was happy as larry with a shiny new $100 to test out in my account, toddled off to Sex.com to make a deposit and hey presto... "Epassporte not accepted here"

A few traffic brokers and web hosts are accepting it now but it's still ghey with a capital Faggort if you ask me... ;)

Maybe it would be more user friendly if they had a database somewhere on the site so you could search for Epassporte friendly sites by category.

Sofar I've found more places that accept it than sites that don't. Unfortunately, I have bumped into some that don't accept it.

Not the most professional approach to getting an answer to a question, starting a thread with that topic name, you could've just sent us an email and we would have looked into this for you.

You obviously got an ePassporte account because you thought it would benefit you in some way. It can. Perhaps the issue with your withdrawal is a currency conversion problem somewhere or some weird ATM fee. I don't know. Send me your ePassporte account name and we will look into it. [email protected].

As for the fees, yeah, you bet there are going to be fees. But I want to look at your transaction specifically and see what's what before I comment more about that.

All I can tell you is use it or don't. No one is holding a gun to your head. It's a damn good product with features you can't get anywhere else. If there has been an error somewhere, we will correct it. If you need help in understanding how to make the most of it, we will explain it. That's it.

True. Only certain sites accept checks too.

I just bought stuff from Amazon.com and TowerRecords.com with my epassporte. All non-high risk categories should accept ePassporte with no problem as long as they take Visa.

High Risk sites processed by Epoch/Paycom accept ePassporte. Those processed somewhere else may not get approved currently.

The problem I see is that "non high risk" is not the issue.

It's not difficult to get a Visa check card from your bank now, and that works just as well as a Visa CC online.

There would be no reason for most people to use epassporte at Amazon (barring the unfortunate fool who hasn't learned how to deposit $100 into a local bank)...you're just screwing yourself out of money by doing that.

I like using my Epassporte account.

I get paid instantly. I can get my cash instantly as well. My money is safe there. The people that run it are ready to walk 1,000 miles on their toes and back to help you with a problem.

Fees? Show me someone who has no fees for any service he offers.

Checks are slow, Western Union is expensive, PayPal will block your account if you deal with porn, StormPay looks the most shady of all mentioned.

It's either Epassporte or wire for me. Most people won't bother sending wires but most do have Epassporte accounts. So, it all adds up to the point where I use it and I am happy to do that.

charly, for the last time, eP card holders are not charged 10%, and they never have been - you are well aware of this, so I dont know why you continue to attempt to create drama with statements that are incorrect.

You are indeed paying 8%, of course that's what has been in your contract from day one of it, and you did read the contract before you signed it, I assume. No one has ever said it was not 8% inbound on ePPurchases. Once again, trying to create drama where none exists.

We don't control the conversion ratio from your dollars to US dollars either btw, that's a bank thing and there's nothing we can do with that, or we'd make it as favorable as we could to our clients. Alas, we don't control the fate of the dollar either, though I'm calling Alan Greenspan to talk about it right now ;)

On a last note here, I'm really curious why you have illegal drugs in your signature Lee, that doesn't seem to make any sense to me, and I've been wondering about it for a few days now, but what do I know :)

I think ePassporte.com is the way to go from a consumers point of view and can't wait to get my account.

Anonymous virtual payment will do nothing but expand.

As consumers become aware of this - things will improve.

Also the ability to pay a couple bucks for someones "blog" which is also exponentially expanding - is a marriage made in heaven it seems.

Anonymous Virtual Visa is the replacement of AVS's which are all going bye-bye.

btw - I noticed that most of people who don't like epassporte are from US, and they compare it to paypal. For us in Europe epass is great, I have no complaints.

Many are getting it outside - Using fake US addresses in the same way thay illegally obtain merchant accounts inside the USA.

The load fee is NOT 10%, who cant read ;)

And as a merchant, Paypal does indeed take a fee for transactions.

There's no change on the arbitrary amounts yet but the non US verification process will be soooo much easier as soon as the bank finishes up a couple of changes.
