dont listen to these bozos.. get your self a big ass tri-tip... buuterfly it a little*. cover it with some spade-l seasosing. use like half the bottle(u get it at albertsons)... let that fucker chill in the fridge for about 4 hours. then cook it slow over a real low flame. should take about 45 minutes...
if you do that., i guarantee you will thank me after you eat.. |
Fillet with the bone is the best
It has the tenderness of the beaf and the taste from the bone. Not to many places have it but its the best steak I'.ve ever had. |

Steak Glossary Fillet mignon kicks its ass. NY strip is my second fave. |
Porterhouse.
|
prime isn't really a cut, but it is my favorite.
|
rib eye is the most favorful, fillet is tasteless and just got a good rep for being expensive and fancy when it is crap. Take from a fat guy I know steak lol.

good, I'm glad you all agree :glugglug

I like NY strip.... porterhouse some nights. Rib eye on rare occasions.
But you can buy a $1.50/lb steak and marinate that shit overnight in some Ken's Italian Dressing.. then fire up the BBQ and you'll have somethin just as good for a lot cheaper. :thumbsup |

God you guys never leave the USA do you ?
The very best steak is Kobe Steak originally from Japan but you can get it here in the USA the price in Japan is about $150 a piece Or if you want the best French cut you need to get yourself and your partner a nice Chateau Brion The Best of the Best, its a massive cut of beef enough for at least two people. In San Diego you can get a passable Chateau Brion from the Hindquarters on Mira Mar Road. Cindy xx |
Go for a Kobe or "Wagyu" steak. Delmonico/Rib eye cut. You will love it.
The fucker is VERY tender. Best piece of meat ever! However, if you don't like dropping $80 on a 12 oz piece of meat.. I prefer regular aged delmonico cuts, as I like my meat medium - medium well. if you like your meat to moo.. I suggest a filet or NY strip. If you live in Cali.. go to the Meat locker on TO blvd in Thousand Oaks/westlake village. They have the best tri-tip sandwich you would ever eat:-) |
fresh new york steak

Dry aging is the secret to good beef, very few restaurants anywhere in the world understand how to do it properly any more. There are many that claim dry aging but dont have a clue how to truly do it.

My butcher makes me Chateau Brion when I want it. Kobe beef is over rated. 2" dry aged porterhouse is my current staple for the grill but out I like a medium rare filet. |
Tenderloin of course. But it's so damn expensive!

nothing beats a filet mignon. they are by far the best
|
Rib Eye! No doubt.
The best way to cook rib eye is on the grill with a stick of butter on top. The butter drips and gets the flames roaring. Nice and blackened. |
Fillet Mignon or Rib eye Steak are the best!!!
yummmmmmmy!!!!!!!!!!!!:thumbsup |
porterhouse medium rare!!
|
London Broil.
|
its a tough choice between a "bone in ribeye" and a filet mignon.
depends on the source and the chef |
DelMonico or NY Strip, Fillet's have no flavor that's why they get wrapped in bacon...

Some people think that real fatty steak tastes good cuzz they just love greasy fatty shit so much. Cant go wrong with a filet mignon. (it almost rhymes) |
