No doubt, he is doing something very wrong, only making $40k off that volume!

I guess it is the businessman in me, hate to see people leave $ on the table. Seriously though, there is no reason to send out so much junk mail. Targeted mailing is the future, not harvesting aol emails.

I thought the story overall was weak. No mention of all the new state spam laws, lawsuits, etc. I sent 20/20 a note and a few links.

Nah, if he's sending that much mail, he's not exactly hosting it on one of those $4.95 per month plans.

Also, if he made the money fairly quickly, he probably spent it just as quickly. When guys run into money like that (especially if it was his first time making that kind of money) they often live on credit...and then the bills come in...

if it is true.. he should be put in jail for letting his 10 year old daughter on a computer unsupervised without any kind of blocks or filters.. he knows all of the porn that goes on.. he said they block 2 billion messages a day for tha type of stuff.. he knows what goes on and still let's his 10 year old daughter see it.. it's different then parents that don't know what goes on becuase they have never even been on a computer... let alone know how to sign on the internet

Every spammer I've ever known is either dumb as fuck or newbie as fuck. Again proven correct with this guy. The stupidest thing he could've done is go on TV and says he spams millions of people a day.

of course he can do this, to the mail accounts of his own intranet. And then sign on with your own CC and via your own telephone line calling your own numbers :)

Let's just do the math.

Sendsafe on a good day will send 15,000 an hour. That's 360k a day for one box.

That's 500 boxes to send out 180million.

I'm not even going to go into cost of the machines and bandwidth, sounds like someone is just full of shit.
