Stupid newby question: importance of google pr rating?
 

D'uh..... what's the big deal with google pr ratings and why does it seem to be important for some to have a high one?

its not important at all. its a game we play to spook newbies.

You can sell link spots and people will pay more for your domain. They're GoogleEyed (ie. brainwashed).

there not important at all so if you happen to have any of these trash rankings of 6 or above i'll take them from you for a buck a piece

i mean ..hell... according to this google toolbar thingy gofucksyourself.com has only a pr of 5.

Gofuckyourself has 5 prime ribs. The more prime ribs a site has the more money its worth.

It depends on how you get your traffic. If you work search engines you gotta have it, the more the better, and you get it by getting links from other sites to your site. (basicly) The more PR you have the higher you will rank, all other things being equal. (But not everything is equal, and that lets you wiggle a bit if you know the quirks of the system.)

If you work TGP, CJ, etc, you don't need it and google won't give it to ya. Take that "fact" as just my guess because I don't do free pics but I think that's how it works.
