Good job, sometimes this does work. Unfortunately you still had 3 chargebacks against your new 1% limit. So you win one and lose one even though you were the victim of attempted fraud.

Johny Traffic 07-03-2003 02:51 AM

WELL DONE!

yes thats the bad side. Still when we get cbacks, we send the above email as standard, and do manage to claw back something sometimes.

or our they just out right ass holes over it and says we not give a fuck it happen so now fuckin deal ???

solonline 07-03-2003 06:50 AM

no there is no come back on this. When a CB is done its done. No litigation or appeals, u just loose the bucks, get a cb charge in some cases, and get some percentages added to your cback ratio. Thing is to try and stop the rot. the guy in this question has extensive billing history, so at least I stopped the fucking maggot cbakin a whole year

tony286 07-03-2003 08:25 AM

That would work if the email address is good ,on 99% of the cb's we get the email addy is no good.

Strife 07-03-2003 09:39 AM

:1orglaugh Good job! Wonder what percentage of charge backs are actually fraudulent...

TheSaint 07-03-2003 09:50 AM

Nice one!

I don't get chargebacks for some reason. Maybe its Globill's policy, which they plaster all over the place and email the customer. All bullshit of course but I guess it makes some think twice:

IMPORTANT! Please read GLOBILL.COM's DISPUTE POLICY:

Most people are honest and so this may not apply to you: Please note that trying to deny a valid charge through your bank or credit card company is fraudulent and is illegal. When we receive such disputes, this is our standard DISPUTE POLICY:

IF YOU TRY TO DISPUTE or DENY a valid charge, your credit card or checking account along with your name and address will immediately be added to a negative database. The negative database is shared by thousands of merchants on the internet, both large and small, and you will not be able to purchase goods or services from said merchants in the future.

IF YOU TRY TO DISPUTE or DENY a valid charge, you will be sent an invoice for the disputed amount by regular postal mail. Copies will also be sent to your bank and credit card company. The invoice will include the following information:

The name of the site you paid to access

Your IP address when you signed up

The day and time of your signup

Original charge amount plus a $25 fee for dispute processing .

If you do not pay the invoice within 30 days, a second invoice will be sent. The second invoice will include the following information:

Access logs detailing when you accessed the site in question and what ISP you used to do so.

Examples of any files and/or pictures and/or video captures of any information you downloaded from the site after gaining your username and password.

If the second invoice is not paid within 30 days, your file will be forwarded to one of the 17 collection agencies that we work with on all five continents.

To avoid any of the above, we encourage you to contact us first for any problems with your membership purchase. We have an excellent track record in resolving any problems to see that you are fully satisfied with your purchase.

If you have any concerns about your purchase we encourage you to contact one of our customer service reps either by phone at 1-877-588-1277 (925-691-6521), Monday-Friday, 9am to 5pm PST, or through our online forms available 24 hours a day on this site, or by emailing [email protected]

We are always here to assist you with any complaints or problems you have with the website you joined.

Regarding the chargebacks
We work with clients that have merchant accounts.
We get some surprised phone calls once we start sending out collection letters. A lot of people pay after they get the letter from the attorney's office. That scares some people. But really, our goal is not to scare people. We are very polite with people until they refuse to work with us. We go out of our way to explain how the customer didn't need to chargeback at all and they can just get their refund from us. Sometimes itīs the kids that use his parent credit card.
