Update on Dokk
 

This is the toughest post I've ever had to make.

Dokk is taking a much needed rest and receiving the proper care.

He will return.

Anyone who is interested in helping his family, in their time of need, can send something thru his Paypal account.

I know any help to his family will be very much appreciated.

I?m sure he will repay anyone who he might owe money to upon his return by fulfilling any advertising commitments.

Yeah he sounded pretty crazy in his postings on GFY.

Then I guess that employment referral he gave me is pretty futile, then; huh?

There's no reason to discuss what happened.

I'm sure everyone watched him posting the last 3 weeks.

Let's just all pray for him and his family and hope he makes a speedy recovery.

um......it's kinda obvious what happened, guy was under some extreme stress and losing it, call it nervous breakdown, nervous exhaustion, whatever.

not our business what the stresses in his life are that caused it.

sad but he needs help and rest and now he will get it.

My best wishes to Dokk and his family.. Hope everything is ok.

I think alot of us got the impression that he'd just decided to play the asshole and come here to throw his weight around (the Candid thing in particular..), and he was treated appropriately.

It didn't start becoming obvious that something was wrong until quite a bit later.

didn't really pay attention to what he was doing but anything stress related Ive got sympathy for...hope he gets well,we don't need anymore gangsters in this world

You mentioned his paypal account? Is he in need of money to get by..no savings, etc? I'm sure the familty medical costs he's experienced in the past have made a huge dent on that.

Sorry to hear that about Dokk. I learnt a lot back in the day when he ran the newbie section on Ynot. It was hard to believe the person posting lately here was one and the same.

Way to be compassionate, idiot. Dokk is obviously not well and all you can think about it your precious referral? Very sad.

People dont get much nicer than Dokk.

What happened is sad and could happen to anyone under the pressures he was under.

Very sad, Dokk and Sharky Live shows taught me a ton in this biz and that was years ago now.

Over the years that guy helped more people than anyone I can think of.. and this was in the more cutthroat times, when information was much tougher to get than it is now.

Dokk has probably helped more newbies than anyone else on the AdultNet.

It would really be nice if everyone chipped in and helped him and his lovely family in their time of need :)

Ron, all of our best wishes go out to Dokk, I spoke on a few hosting panels for him at some of the AWE shows last year, and a few 420 parties:), he's a great guy and I truly wish him and his family the best.

You know, sometimes I forget how much people like to police posts. I really hate to explain myself to people I don't know, but after looking at the lack of grace from my response to yours, here it goes:

1.) I don't know what the details of the situation are, nor do I know the history of it because I'm not close (at this point) to Dokk or FM.

2.) I like to usually keep my nose in my own business.

3.) Everyone who has posted saying they will help obviously has a history with Dokk, but I do not. The most we have spoken was on this issue. If it pans out, believe me, he will get what is due from me.

Everyone who has posted with sad little apologies and don't have a history with him are just fundamentally insincere.

4.) In conclusion, I do not just doll out compassion on a regular basis to whoever is having problems.

I have to be sincere if I am going to offer anything on my own behalf. Not only that, but I have to have a history to offer financial help. Call me an asshole, but that's just how I am.

Maybe if I was a little more well off, this would be different. I just don't know yet.

Because I don't know Dokk well, it would be nice to know more about the situation.

Not too long ago, when I was new to GFY, I asked for help with my uncle's medical condition. For those of you that were around for that, be watching for an update in the next week after the results come back from the latests tests.

Anyway, many people here were generous enough to help me out and showed tremendous support. I don't have a whole lot to give right now, but I just requested a funds transfer from my bank account to paypal. I will be able to send some loot on Wednesday.

Hope all works out well.

I hope Dokk will be back around and 100% soon. He doesn't even know how much he helped me out back in the olden days when I was getting into this biz.

Dokk will be getting something from me as well. I hope that while he's resting, his wife is getting the care she needs too.
FM if you speak to him please let him know that I hope he's feeling better soon and to take it easy - the biz will still be here no matter how long it takes for him to get things in order and destress.

We're making sure his Wife and Daughter are getting the attention and support they need. I will make sure Dokk sees this outpouring of love from his brothers and sisters from the AdultNet in this time of need, but only when the time is appropriate. It's impressive that folks around here really do care about each other, it's rare in this day and age!! To know Dokk, is to love him :)

MuleScrote - Dokk's condition is one where he needs some serious rest. It's not the time, nor place to go into any further detail than that knowing what a proud person my dear friend Dokk is and will always be.

Dokk has provided an invaluable service for this community that we all should greatly appreciate as well as just being a warm hearted helpful guy. He kinda makes our biz 3 dimensional with his radio outlet. I will send some help as well.

I only met and talked to Dokk first about 3 weeks ago after being on one of the shows. He was real cool and a nice helpful guy, I talked to him on ICQ many times after that and always enjoyed our conversation. I could tell he was a genuine and helpful man. I wish the best for him and his family, a nice rest from this world and the computer should do nothing but good for him and it's well earned and deserved even if it's not planned.

I hope Dokk feels much better. I've always loved his shows and he's one of the nicest guys in the biz. Best wishes to him.

When you make friends on the AdultNet, it might be virtual, but it's real. Furthermore, it acts in a moment's notice when the time is appropriate to do so.
