Walther P22 on my back,
http://www.firearmscanada.com/gun_pi...ther_p22_2.jpg And my personal favorite, but unfortunately the one that gets fired less... This pup is a .357 semi --- too expensive to shoot, the P22 is cheap as fuck, i recommend the p22 gun to anyone. http://www.sigarms.com/apps/cmt/img/...-TONEBIGHR.jpg This one goes in a holster strapped under my shorts during the summer on my upper right theigh |
I fear an outbreak of scofflaws and pilfers looking at 2257 records and going on a rampage...
I'll be ready for 'em. :) |
I used to, back when I was about 19 and worked out of a suburban house as a phone sex girl. The neighborhood guys had noticed girls going in and out of the house on a regular basis...I don't know if they thought we were hookers or what. But they would hang around, try to look in the windows, all that kind of crap.
Not only that, the phone sex business shared a building with a barber shop -- the barber was this scummy drunk who slept on a blanket in the storeroom of his shop, and having him around made me nervous. So I carried a little .22 semiauto in my purse, laid it right next to the phone the whole time I was working. I know, a .22 doesn't pack much punch, but it was all I could get ahold of right then, and at least it would've slowed the bastard down until I could get a good temple shot right through the thinnest part of the skull... (was raised by a gunsmith and taught exactly what to do and where to aim for...my man-shaped silhouette targets always used to have a nice grouping of holes right at center of mass...) |

JUST SO IT IS KNOWN.... I AM NOT FOR GUN VIOLENCE... NOR GUNS FOR EVERYBODY... BUT I DO THINK GUNS IN THE HANDS OF QUALIFIED PEOPLE ARE OK... take me for instance... I am more qualified with a handgun , sub machine gun , shotgun, or any assault long gun .. than 90% of law enforcment in america... or military for that matter and I will take anybody up to a challenge at my training facility to complete any course faster than I do... I also carry a CCW in 23 states.. all from Front Sight now credit to the plave that tought me all of this....... http://www.frontsight.com if you have a chance anybody... you shuold go check it out.... if you need a place to stay while you take the class... me casa su casa.... but read abuot that program then see what you think...... I go take at least a 2 day every month... I usually do 4 day classes all the time.......

by the way the states I always carry in and legally can are
Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, and Wyoming |
Fuck no, the laws in NY are fucking retarded. I'm not going to pay hundreds of dollars and sign my life and fingerprints away just for a pistol. Strictly longarms for me.
|
I just was reading th nassau county rules and shit they want evrything from you fingerprints, and so on. And the police dept issues the permit here. You also gotta give 3 references , imagine if i put Vito, Sal and Joey on there?
|
You can't carry a handgun legally here, I believe, and I don't have any connections. All I have is a kitchen knife. It's kind of hard to block bullets with it though.

oh yeah. no concealed carry here, but they're considering legalizing it. but, if you have it in a _visible_ holster, you can go anywhere but banks and federal buildings with heat.

the thing is, i spoke to a couple cops, and they said, in their opinion, a .22 is a small gun. i mean for personal protection. like if i were to shoot a crazed rapist with it, unless i shot him in the eye or something, i would most likley make him angrier, and he would for sure kill me. you think thats true? |
See my Sig P-220.
|
I don't pack much anymore (no real need to) but I still do have a concealed weapons permit for Nevada...
I grew up in Wyoming where you could have a gun on your hip as long as it asn't concealed...it was interesting going to the store sometimes and seeing people packing...but in a rural Wyoming town, guns protect you from things like coyotes, snakes and other animals... I just own the basics: a .357 magnum and a .44 as far as handguns (but don't even keep them in my house anymroe) |
dont bother gettin a gun unless its big and cool,
all these faggatty ass pistols and bitch shit, wat is the dam point? |
I have a Taurus .357 revolver and a 20 gauge shotgun. I don't usually carry.. but if I"m going riding late at night, or hiking where there may be feral dogs (people like to "lose" their pit bulls and rotweillers in the State Parks near here) coyotes and black bears I'll pack along the .357

It was my first day on the job, i ignored what the people who hired me had told me and can still remember the 2 guys waiting at the top of the driveway in that pickup truck with shotguns. I wasn't hard to spot, had just got a new fire engine red mercedes.. can't remember the model too long ago.. in the bright green grass sitting in front of these peoples property like I was some sort of Magnum PI legend in my own mind. Needless to say I made for a rather easy target, they shot the shit up out of my "bad ass mercedes" and the funniest part about the whole thing Is I can still remember when the first shot went off I got this fucking cramp right in the lowest part of your back yanno... I know that sounds weird but that hurt like hell. So.. I kept the gun, but never carried it on the job (my partners all thought I was nuts, they all packed at least 9's. After that first day on the job.. i thew down my badge on the table and said "I fucking quit, this is crazy" And their reply was: "Dokk, you did a great job and we've got a bunch more work for you!" I dunno why I didn't go ahead and quit.. and don't know why I went on for 9 yrs.. but I can tell you why I finally did quit. I couldn't live with the thought anymore. The kind of cases I took were the ones where no one was going to come out a winner and the people paying had unlimited funding. That's when I quit.. had already saved enough to build my own home and retired.. then I got a call from a buddy of mine saying a local strip club was looking for a dj.. so I went down.. and I'm sure most of you know the rest of that story. I don't recommend anyone carrying a gun unless you are a licensed government officer, period. But if you want and it'll help, I'll give you a free email addy, just write to me: [email protected] and i'll give you a free 44mag email addy. It'd be a lot safer to carry around ;-))) |

hell no, the only effective .22 for defensive purposes is the calico.. and that's only because it has a 100-round clip. .22's are WAY to small... like a high-powered BB gun. using those are like beating a bee's nest with a stick. if you want something fairly small with little punch, go with like a 9mm. still fairly useful, yet pretty easy to handle. |

im not that strong, so i just wanted something that wasnt going to dislocate my shoulder when i shot it. i have shot shot-guns, and even a glock... kinda scares me. but maybe i need to practice a bit more |

just be advised... there are at least 2 dozen non lethal ways I can think of right off the top of my head to protect yourself and loved ones without a gun. ever shot anybody with a taser? it's really cool and (almost 100 percent of the time) wouldn't kill them or cause perm injury. and i have to admit.. having been shot with one and having shot one... it's a whole lot more fun being on the trigger end than the other end. ;-) best of luck with whatever you decide.. i'll only leave you with this.. if you do pull a gun.. don't do it or even point it unless you intend to empty every round in the clip and kill them without hesitation. if you're not prepared to do that.. do NOT get a gun. 'nuff said |
I have my CPW but rarely ever "pack heat". Only on long trips with my family. :thumbsup

i agree with that 100%. don't point a firearm at anything you don't intend to kill, but when you do, intend to kill it, loaded firearm or not. 9mm glocks (although i can't condone owning a glock) are pretty smooth to fire, easy to maintain. they're also fairly light weight. i personally wouldn't go smaller than a .40s&w, and i use the HK. but i'm biased. |

U rokk. |
thats just it.
i liked the smaller ones simply for the fact that i would never want to actually kill someone. i dont think i could live with myself after that. or blow someones something off. i probably watch too many movies. i just figured i could shoot their hand or leg and run away and call the police. heheh i guess thats how a 22 year old girl would think :) |

Caroline,
Feel free to email me anytime, [email protected] or [email protected] and I'll be glad to help you work out an easy afordable way to protect whatever u want to protect without the use of a gun. Won't charge you a thing for it. I'd just hate to see you make the wrong decsions because I had the fucking nasty task of picking up a few of those that thought in the middle of the night and being suddenly woke up they could do what you're wanting to, withtout training (constant) couldn't hit the side of a barn at 2 ft. away. Again, all the best.. you've got the rest of your life to decide, please even if you ignore every thing i've said.. take a little more time and talk to a few more people before you decide to go down to the gun store. Over n' Out! |

if you feel that you would not want to kill anything, than i _highly_ suggest you do not own a firearm for defensive purposes. own one to go out to the range and plink around, a .22 is fine for that. but keep it unloaded and securely locked at home where it would not be easy for you or an intruder to get to. in a defensive situation you cannot hesitate, or that weapon could very likely be used against you. if there is _any_ doubt while not under the stress of such, than it would only be presumed worse when the situation arises. you've got to be able to pull the trigger, or it's more of a danger to you than anyone else. you have to *know* this before hand.
