i already own the guns.
but they are n my dads room and have never been shot.
i dont even think i have ammo for them here.
and if i EVER shot one.. i would for sure take some classes.

i mean.. i dont know. i have never, fortunately, been put in the situation where i would have needed to do that.
but i know how i feel about killing.
thats why, i said i got the smaller guns. just to injur them so i could get away.
even my dad said that was dumb.
he said that for SURE the other guy isnt thinking the same way as i am. he most likely wants me dead.
and, if i can shoot someone.. what if i freak out, and they have no weapon?
and i will feel horrible forever.
and would i go to jail for killing an unarmed person who comes into my house?
all these questions! :)

thankfully i've never had to shoot anyone. i don't doubt myself, however. that's how i've been raised. but i would think that a person with your mindset would not be able to kill in that situation. your mindset is that you specifically do _not_ want to kill them. shooting an assailant in the leg is just going to make them mad half the time. what if he's amped up on speed or something? they wouldn't even notice it.

if you're just looking to incapacitate, then don't use something that could become easily lethal to you. it's silly to use lethal force for non-lethal purposes.

and in my opinion, there shouldn't be someone lurking in my house in the middle of the night, armed or not. they're obviously not there to give me one million dollars.
