The Phillipines have the largest concentration of Roman Catholics in the world per country. Somewhere in the mid 90%.

Growing up and watching the Easter parade with the sinners self flaggelating themselves has been burned in my mind. Alot of blood, I still remember seeing the barb wire swishing back and forth. Watching those who were to be cruicified dragging their crosses for their sins. Thankfully, I never saw the actual hammeriing in of nails.
