also it seems like in the future dialers will have to get certified... they must comply with some sort of minimum requirements...

Cabinet decides law to the protection from 0190-Missbrauch The Federal Cabinet adopted a bill on today's Wednesday, with which the abuse at the use of the 0190er and 0900er-Nummern was to be dammed. Calls may cost in the future maximally three euro per minute. After one hour the connection must be separated automatically. Offerers threaten with abuse the withdrawal of the service number, communicated the consumer Ministry. The price for the use of the number must be indicated in the future, before costs arise. I heard that the dialers were getting some VERY bad mainstream press there even as far back as a year ago....I guess the legislation is just now catching up to public opinion

I believe that they are getting banned in Australia at the end of August...

We get the monthly Telephone Information Services Standards Council (TISSC) reports via our teleco business, and the complaints/breaches from the other service providers running the dialers are massive...

After each entry in the 'remedy' column it invariably says 'refund'.

which company does good with german traffic? I've tried mtree without too much success.. I've tried signing up to programs in German.. but quite hard to understand :)

This is nothing. As a german webmaster you probably need to block your sites in Germany. It is illegal to publish porn in Germany as it is in most of the world but they now have new legislation that states that there are no valid means of AVS. So basically if you publish porn in any way you are subject to get busted even if you lock it behind 3 different AVS. Also porn in Germany starts with an erected dick or pussy lips shown.

I think dialers have a place in this industry if used correctly....as do cross-sells, rebills, etc....however if all of the above are abused then it hurts this biz and any other that collect funds via those methods...
