Ok, I personally don't care for those kind of videos, however!! arresting people because the US Postal Inspector has a problem with us adults receiving weird adult stuff in the mail is just plain not good.

The Title 18 they are being charged with in short is

"Every obscene, lewd, lascivious, indecent, filthy or vile article, matter, thing, device, or substance; and -


Every article or thing designed, adapted, or intended for producing abortion, or for any indecent or immoral use; and "

Its a pretty large grey area, so befor you beat on me keep in mind that if you are into selling videos, cd's etc, thats something should really wake you up.

What exactly is considered obscene. If I sell a video of a model doing a bottle. Is that obscene? How about Anal? Blowjobs?

This is a big blow for us who do sell videos. Do I now have to look over my shoulder everytime I sell a video online and go to the postoffice?

I guess AEBN is going to get a lot more business with my videos after this.

Two things shitting videos are gross and if never made again the world wouldnt be better or worse. Secondly you are doing that kind of money and dont consult with a lawyer .We are a small site and consulted with a lawyer on our site. One of the first things he said if you are going to sell videos use UPS and Fedex but people think this can never happen to me and everyone gets away with it. They are wrong people do get arrested .

Obscenity is judged under the Miller test, which is community standards based. Therefore something that is not considered obscene in LA may be in Atlanta and so on.

Using the US postal service to send porn is just so risky.

Some niche videos you can't sell in some zip codes. For example, an anal video is illegal in some Florida areas. If you plan on distributing videos, you need to have your ass covered. Talk to a lawyer.

The larger distributing centers have lists of zip codes that can't receive certain videos. Talk to your lawyer about this.

I just don't get that you cannot send adult videos to certain states or even certain counties or zipcodes.. As an adult if I want to watch Porn on TV I can, but I cannot get it in the mail when ordering a video?

One of the Federal Districts set precedence on obscenity before. I can't remember which it was nor could I find it when I looked awhile back. But scat, beastie, fisting, odd insertions, rape-faux rape, violen/t/ce and a couple of others were listed.

I don't think it went past that ruling but it gives them a leg to stand on. It will be interesting to see if that is brought in to this trial. It could be the beginning of how they deal with adult in general. Sooner or later the adult online business will be governed by laws one way or another.
