Globill Nightmare

Ok, I have to bitch and I bitch on here because I am just bitchy right not.. So here

I been trying to buy content, software with Globill from different paysites for the past week. I never had any problems with any of my credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.

However Globill keeps turning me down.
One of my Visa cards is a debit card, and yes I have enough to cover the 40 bucks for the software I was about to buy duh!

So last week I emailed Globill asking them "Wassup" and never got a respond, so screw it, I paid the content provider last week with paypal and forgot.

Today I tried to buy some software, Globill is their biller, NADA, DECLINED,, Ok, I tried my other cards, declined, declined, ok now I am pissed, because I am an impulse buyer, some people shop at walmart I shop cool software and crap online and I WANT IT NOW.

So I called Globill. They tell me they can't really help me because I have to email them from the email address I signed up with. Ok, now I told him, "Look I did that last week and never got an answer"

The guy just hung up at me!!!!!!!!!!!

I wasn't quite sure, but yup he did, I stared at the phone for a couple of minutes, than went back to the site and noticed a paypal link for the software, I bought it with paypal.

However I am still upset, ok, we all know that customers are impulse buyers, like me. Let's hope they never treat turned down surfers the way I was treated.

Ok, now I feel a little better, but damn, I still have to wait up to 24 hours now to get my new toy (software) I bought

Shit

:BangBang: Globill

i've had the same experience lately trying to buy scripts and such from sites that used gloBill as their main processor... i had 3 valid creditcards declined, including a debit/check card from BoA. i was forced to use Paypal as well to send the payment, i'd hope gloBill isn't scrubbing this hard on all their customers, but i'm glad i didn't even look at them during the whole VISA calamity last year..

I've bought content sets from a number of vendors that use Globill and never had a problem. I also use them for one of my sites and it does slightly better income than my other processor sites.

Did you ever do chargebacks on your cards? Maybe you are in their negative database. Now all you have to do is chargeback on Paypal and you can never buy content from anyone anymore. Hee. Hee.

foreverjason 03-20-2003 02:53 PM

WTF! What is going on with these stupid fucking CC processors.

Que? 03-20-2003 03:00 PM

If you chargeback once or have any sort of similar issue(bouncing check) with a globill payment your on their permanent blacklist.

At least they told me so.

They work fine for me though but keep a backup processor.

ozzymandius 03-20-2003 03:07 PM

i've used ccbill, ibill and epoch in the past but have been using globill as main for many months now. I am totally satisfied with their service and my sign up ratio is better than it's ever been.

I think you can always find at least one webmaster who has a horror story of trying to sign up with their own credit card to any given processors. Bottom line is that all the known processors seem to be in roughly the same ballpark as far as scrubbing is concerned. But as they say, your mileage may vary!

:thumbsup

Epoch & ACPay...

If you're not real concerned with affiliates, than just go to ACPay man... no setup fee, good guys over there...

And a sharp system for their first try... got me up in a day, and the scrub is way way way way less than globill

Or if you have the cash, go to epoch... =) Great guys over there too, talk to Jim Christensen.

Chers

Maybe VISA has something to do with that...

directfiesta 03-20-2003 08:14 PM

Why doesn't discover get in the show and launch a general card, but geared or accepted in adult markets....

Ebay still processes adult items sold on ebay. If Visa had anything to do with it that would include the fees and regulation of sites. Paypal pulled the plug themselves. Probably scared of Asshahahahaha.

When companies go public, their stockholders often scare them out of doing too much adult (or any high risk) business. Look at the track record from recent history.

Yeah, some of us adult webmasters are honest and actually pay for software.

Sorry to hear about your bad day, Steffie. At this rate, things just have to get better for you. :thumbsup
