We will encode it and host it!
Hey just wanted to see if any of you out here in GFY land need video encoding done. We can set you up with MPEG, Windows, and REAL. We prefer to run 128,384, and 768k. If you need something custom we can do it.
See why Holio, Hustler, Ed Powers, Fantasyman, Cyberage and more have let us do the video they use. We can set up for hosting all of your video needs as well. Hit me up! [email protected] |

I have no idea what you are talking about.
I have never talked to you before. |
You know we do a good job for people and you try to see if you can get some business going and then you have someone "claim" you tried to pull some bullshit......
I do not know you, I have never heard of your company, I do not even know what you have that can be called anything.......seriously! We have simply tried to recently expand our business. You need to be very clear on this.....you have me and my company confused with someone else. That is pretty fucked to make us look bad when you have the wrong people. We have done a great job for some very credible people. |

If you guys produced your own video encoding board which you claim is realtime and are trying to sell them then it probably is you guys otherwise it isnt and sorry to have jumped on your thread..
:) |
Not me...have no idea what you talking about. We have no claims to real time anything.

Now, i may not build rockets and space ships (neither can NASA) but i do know it is impossible to have two people doing most of the work for all of these companies. Let me see if i can dig up the email |
He said someone referred him to me, from some conversation which i find unlikely (probably just spam)
"Well, I'm not quite sure who per say...but your name "Hosted Content" came up when I was discussing content providers with some of my other clients. (For referral purposes) It could have been AEBN, VS Media (Video Secrets), Piernet, etc. It was last week though. I talk to most of those guys on a weekly or biweekly basis. I do know that I wrote down your website to look at. They had mentioned you may be interested in the new technology since you all do provide a fairly large amount of video content. Sorry I couldn't place my finger on the specific one though, but I would be interested in talking with you further if you are up for it! Jeremy " I think the best part was "Thanks anyway! Hey, did you at least look at the link to see how much better your video can look? At least give it a click, or you can look at AEBN site. They do aprox. 11,400 hours a day of encoding with this board!!! In 38 encoding stations though..... Have a good one, Jeremy " Quite possible i got the wrong person but ya never know :) |
If you want call Flynt Digital ask for Mike Youtan he is the Content Manager for all of the sites and ask him who does all of the video encoding for them.
IF you are not satisfied call Holio and ask them who does a large portion of the video encoding for them Call Ron Levy and ask him who encoded the video for the Fantasyman video project listed first in the members area for Cybererotica I have no board to sell........ we have a floor of employees who sit in our downtown Los Angeles Hi Rise office and work themselves to the bone. DreamTank has been around doing video for people since 1995 we have slowly been building a company we take deep pride in. I can give you 10 more names in the idustry and in mainsteam.....we do not have some fly by night slick snake oil salesman thing going here. Whoever you talked to was not me, or my company. All you have done here today is make a good company look bad. |

Clearly you're not the same person so how could i have any harm to you or your company? i never said you were the same people. If you had been the same person then yes you would have looked like an idiot :) If you think that im attacking you or your company then just wait till you see some of the shit which goes on, on this board.. better yet you better change that url in your browser right.. Believe me, when someone gets called out they get called out...just ask anyone :P |
Damm and I thought this was gonna be about some nice free spam page hosting! LOL

sometimes our decks get tired and crash....we run about 2 terabytes a month through here....no kidding really. It is not that labor intensive but it does require a ton of baby sitting for many machines. It is not rocket science but it is one of those jobs in the business many people do not want to mess with and just say "to hell with it" and out source it all.

Dream tank does great work. !!!

Nice, i dont deal too much with the actual conversion of any media other than DVD although i have done some DV Tapes. Much easier to rip a DVD :) |
Always happy to hear from the Drunk Dollars Team!
When is that big block Charger going to be on the road for some boozing and cruising. If you and T are down in Hermosa area call me we can grab a Guiness at Hennessey's or someplace with some live music. DVD has made our lives so much easier......I cringe at having to encode anything else. |
$2.00 per minute 3 bit rates 3 data rates. You need a host we can do it

VHS,SVHS,DVD,DV,MiniDV is all we are set up to run. we clipped the beta set up since almost no footage was coming in on it.
yeah same rate |
2 bucks a minute seems like a lot to me. 2 hour DVD is $240 to encode? I see guys who run movie sites who do their own ripping and encoding and results look pretty good to me.
Machine does all the work right? We're not talking about editing, just encoding. Seems like a routine task that can be batched once you have it setup for nice results. How long does it take to rip a DVD and what format does it wind up in on your computer? MPEG 1 or 2? If you want WMV and QT files also can you just convert from MPEG? Also can you rip on the fly into WMV format or does that have to be done after the movie file has beer ripped as an MPEG onto your machine? |
Has to be converted to MPEG first and is used to master for any other format. MPEG 1 we find to be the most sound format for universal purposes.
When there is high volume to be completed say 20 DVD's and you really do not want to spend the money on the man power or resources than it is a very fair price. As technology keeeps getting more advanced the need has decreased dramatically. There is still an art to doin it though. It is fairly automated but I think our quality is pretty damn good. Our full screen looks as good as anything I have ever seen. If you are a smaller webmaster it is a quality issue I suppose we know the art of encoding if you simply do not want to do it yourself we represent a very sound reliable and high quality solution. Some of our clients do high enough volume that they would have to bring someone in on payroll and would have to come out of pocket a pretty good chunk of change for the hardware required to run 60 movies a month. There is some light editing invloved. if you look at what the going rate for other companies they are charging $13.50 per minute for three formats and three data rates. The other thing that i have not mentioned is that we are able to get great qulity from a a small file size. I think this above everything is what brings people back to us every month. I am not saying we are the very best on the planet but we generally get rave reviews from our customers. $2.00 per minute is actually a very good price for getting really good work in a reasonable turnaround time. I think most who out source this work would readily agree that the price is pretty good. There are people who do a good work.......the question is can they maintain the quality with 2 terabytes a month. The machines do most of the work but it really is like spinning plates if you have 15 movies cooking at the samer time it takes more running around than you might expect. If you truly want good quality you have to make some human interaction. I think our work is truly worth $4.00 per minute.....Just my honest opinion. I am sure five years from now a 5th grader will be able to rip a dvd and have it playing on a wall mounted plasma from a wireless connection.....lol |
we can do quality work for only 100 per DVD :)
