Just hung up on CCBill....
WHy is it *so* difficult to pay a SMALL TIME cam girl?! Here is the basic break down:
CCBill sent out a check to me on Feb 24th...it did not arrive for a week, so I called CCBill, they put a stop-payment on it (NOT mentioning the $20 FEE!) They said they would group it with the NEXT check coming out to me, the one due to be sent on March 10, (the check sent out on the 3rd got here no problems)...they EVEN said they would send it out EARLY for me..on Thursday. I was *SO* excited...INSTEAD it got sent out Friday. This is Tuesday. I leave TOMORROW at 9am. No check. I was expecting this $770.00 to cover little things like...my cable modem (scheduled to be shut off tomorrow) and food while I am gone and just things like NOT having to walk around a strange place with $0. I wrote a bad check to the cable company, my dog-sitter will take it AFTER 4pm tomorrow to keep the cable modem ON but hopefully the check will not clear until I get more money! I have a WHOPPING $33.16 in my checking account. CCBills solution? According to Sean, I could have them put a stop-payment on THIS check (another $20 fee to put a stop payment on a check that includes the $20 fee from the PREVIOUSLY stop-paymented check) and then have them wire transfer money in to my account tomorrow (antoher fee, it would post to my account on Thursday). Btw, I LOVED the attitude I got: He was like, "Well, Kayla...if you paid to have it FedEx'd, I could snap my fingers and have an answer for you" It has always been fairly easy to get guys to buy me drinks at clubs and such...I wonder if it works for food if you hit on them at a restaurant....LOL So, basically...I need a new processor...IF I ever get that $770, it would even cover the $750.00 Visa fee! CCBill has NOW made my to-do VooDoo list! :feels-hot |
Why not get them to wire you this time Kayla? You'd need to pay the wire fee, but that's the same way with every processor and it's not much more than Fedex...
|
Just get your payments wired to you from now on. :2 cents:
|
doesnt ccbill pay with wire transfers? you should request getting paid this way since its your sponsor program and you'll avoid a lot of problem.
|
I will. Just won't happen in time for my 9am flight!
|
Sorry Kimmy, didn't see your reply when I made mine. I see we had the same mode of thinking there.
:winkwink: |
If, and I stress If, it was their fault, I think they should cover the wire fee to get your the money you should already have.

I LOVE how all of CCBill's replies to me basically started with, "For an additional $XX...we could..." |

Or was that actually the case? Also, were you the only one that had a problem with that batch of checks, because I don't represent CCBill or anything, but I know that all checks are folded by a machine, and not by hand. So if there was a problem with the machine, you would think that more folks than yourself would have had a problem. It would be a massive problem. Just sounds like typical postal service fuckup to me. :2 cents: |
I completly agree screw checks pay the fee and get it wired. Checks are a pain.

This is silly. The time frame involved here is very short. How someone can get so pissed off about this is beyond me. I understand your dissatisfaction in not having the checks NOW, but come on Kayla...
Having under $50 in your checking account is bad news. Especially when you're self employed. Rough times can and will happen. Do yourself a favor and start saving up a little cash to use in "emergencies" like this. I'm sure you'll run into this problem again... |

I have a stack of FREE CHALUPA TICKETS here at home I get whenever the Blazers score over 100 points.
Just in case CCBILL FUCKS ME I keep those tickets close. In all seriousness I suggest that you all have backups as I do. |
Probably just she doesn't have the means to save (yet).
Even though we're not exactly hopping with cash over here, it was a while before we had more than an months worth of opex in the bank. Kayla, if you want me to float you a bit to pay the bills so you don't bounce checks hit my ICQ in my profile. No, it's not because you're a chick, I've just been in the same situation and it sucks ass. Now that I have the means, a couple hundred bucks doesn't matter all too much in the long run if it helps someone out. -Phil |
I've never understood how people can receive a check for hundreds or thousands of dollars and rely on a 37 cent stamp and disgruntled postal employees for it to get to them. Accountability should be the key of your biz, you should want to be able to track where your money is, and get it quickly, especially if your finances go check to check at times.

Ive placed some bad bets this week and could use a floater. |
I think Kayla is just frustrated guys, shes had a rough week or so.
Things will be fine, she's a rather smart girl at the end of the day. |
CCBill are the best. :glugglug

Her site and her marketing has been great. I dont think she posted this post to beg for cash, she's just posting like we all do when we are pissed. When you plan and budget for X amount of money to come in and there are X amount of problems getting it, its understandable why she's pissed. We've all been through her situation one time or another. |
However I still suggest Value meal number 1

Kayle... also... the Fedx fee is not a ccbill fee, they just pass on the cost to you. Its not a charge that ccbill adds and then makes a profit on. I just have my checks wired like most people do. it's always there Monday afternoon and its never a worry. Also... most banks offer overdraft protection. If you dont have it, sign up for it. It can be a great tool in rough times. Also.... as others have said, please get yourself a rainy day fund. Its not ccbills fault you ran low on cash. :) |

Another time I had a problem and Kimmykim had the programer fix it. I must admit if it were not for her I'd still be fucked, because the Tech. support did not see anything wrong. And about a month or 2 ago, I contacted them, Tech support did not find anything wrong, I ask them PLEASE (at least 3 times) have the programmer look at this. Well someone said they did, I don't fucking believe them OR they are scrubbing like hell, one of the 2 I don't know. Kimmykim :thumbsup please go back 2 work for ccbill. I really think if they or most support just shine you if they can't find anything wrong, this person is full of it. Well Kimmykim went the extra what ever, and did find something. |
I love CCBill. They aren't perfect, but they are clearly the best.
...But does anyone else find it daffy that they charge 12.5-15% of all transactions, and then deduct the 37¢ each time the send a check? Isn't the percentage (in part) there to cover their overhead? Why the nickle-and-dime? |
Hi Kayla,
If a webmaster tells us that they want their checks sent by postal mail, we can promise you that we will drop them into a mailbox each Monday morning. Most webmasters are happy with this method. However, if you need to have your money in your account the next day, or a FedEx tracking number in your email gives you peace of mind, we offer those options as well. We can?t guarantee that the post office will deliver a check to you within 3 business days, but we will do whatever we can to get your money over to you?we want you to get your check as bad as you do. We do our best to work with our webmasters and would like to keep them satisfied. Send me an email with a good telephone number for you and your CCBill account number and I will give you a call. [email protected] |
Living hand to mouth is a bad thing even when you work for someone else and are practically guaranteed a check every Friday.
In this business its really asking for it. If you can't skip a couple of checks and still be able to pay your bills, you should keep your day job and do this part time until you have enough of a nest egg to get you by in case of emergency. Little shit like postal errors happen all the time, and then there's big shit that happens sometimes as well. Like a per sign up company that paid once a month having its assets frozen. There were a lot of people waiting on checks for 10K or more that were in serious financial trouble over that one. Or when a certain amateur 50/50 program decided to close its doors forever and you're out several thousand a month in rebills. Or losing your rebills because a processor went tits up (that's happened twice I believe) None of this plan ahead shit that we're all spewing out is going to help you today, but hopefully it will in the future :thumbsup |

Kayla... sounds like you're having a rough week. Hang in there, this has happened to all of us at one time or another.
CCBill is still #1 in my opinion for innumerable reasons. Just remember that we're all human... whether the 3rd party billing company had just 1 employee or 1000 employees, mistakes happen. Owning an affiliate program myself and doing all of the checkwriting and mailing each month I've certainly made mistakes... everyone does. Also remember that it's important to have policies, even if they're sometimes irritating. Whether it's a small regular fee like for postage, wire transfer or overnight - these are the things that add up to huge dollars. Like it or not each company has to make a profit, cover payroll and and somehow find the funds to reinvest in themselves. What I think might not be as obvious to all of us here is the *likely* thousands of nearly dormant accounts that CCBill probably disburses small amounts of funds to weekly. Things like charging for postage and overnights aren't necessarily in place so that the $500+/week customers get charged - it's for the proponderance of small payouts that are way below that figure. On one last note... I've sent affiliate checks out that have taken over 30 days to be returned as undeliverable. Usually the USPS is teriffic but these things do happen. My advice? If you're like me and you budget precisely every month from deposit to deposit then just consider this a lesson learned and pay the fee for a wire transfer. There is nothing more timely or reliable than a wire transfer. Best of luck! Brad |
jimmyf -- if you have problems with CCBill, even though I am not employed there ( ok, you got me I'm not actually an employee anywhere, damned unemployed lol) I will be happy to try and help you out since I still have many good friends and a great group to work with there --
I love Kayla to death but if her check was folded wrong then alot of others have to be too. corvett offered to cancel her checks at no charge and have her pay the wire fee to get her money when I was harassing him earlier -- |
I have ibill and they pay on time everytime but since we are growing I am seriously thinking about a merchant account I am surprised many more dont think about doing that. With Visa now you are exposed to them anyway, no more worries about will my third party processor fold. If you run a straight up business charge backs shouldnt be a problem. Working with a third party processor I still feel my fate is still in someone elses hands like when I worked a day job. They all tend to take a really blase attitude toward the fact its your money they are getting 15% of . Also I think its so important to have a base of money just sitting there. We have had some scary problems but knowing we had the money to weather the storm made the difference. Also Kayla you are a very sweet girl I would re examine your business plan considering how long you have been around, You have a hot site and its rated pretty high in Alexa one or two checks shouldnt be a issue between broke and not broke. Something is not working correctly, Did you contact that local guy I told you about ?

Yeah guys and gals, I am just grumpy as all hell today and venting. Thank you for the offers for some moolah to hold me over, but I will make it. I am scheduled to fly out to cover a Spring Break thing tomorrow, tickets were free...where there are beer, men and bi-women, I will ALWAYS be fed...might be cock, might be pussy but hey, I will eat someone! Eerr...something!
I might whine and bitch, but I do *not* take handouts! Well...except from my members! LOL :1orglaugh |
