Where in Italy? I've been to Rome, Venice and Sicily, had a great time in each place but I must admit I didn't feel the need to move there. To be fair, the places I went aren't exactly places you would live in I wouldn't think, too many tourists, especially in Venice.

I'd love to go to Milan and Tuscany, I think I'd like it there. Italian cities are different to other EU cities, I could see myself living in Barcelona, Amsterdam, London, Dublin etc but most Italian cities I can't see myself living in.

A little town near Pescara. Been to the landmark towns you mentioned, Milan and Napoli included.
I'd def stay in the Northern Italy, small 10-20k pop town on the Adriatic coast.
Northern / Eastern Italy has it's advantages comparing to the western and southern -
cheaper, more organized IMO.

Right to the point! Agreed, if there is a civilization in Italy it's in the North.

Don't forget the pasta :D :D

And btw... northern part is the only part of italy where you can stay, if you want to do some business of any kind...go to the south for vacations though, it's beautiful :)

P.S. and come to Tuscany for the best food :D

There is no such thing as "pasta napolitano" :)

Guys...just come in italy, travel a lot, and eat a lot in typical restaurants... then you can judge.

Actually that's the same rule for any part of the world...if you eat as a tourist...expect the worst ;)

I moved here some 8 years ago. I was 22 years old, younger, stupider. I moved because I had this girlfriend in canada, and basically were breaking up, getting back together, breaking up, getting back together, etc. Terrible relationship, so i figured since I know the language, have dual citizenship and work from home anyways i'll just move away. Big change for me, everything was different. I lived and worked for a while, and didn't really enter the "system" here until a year or two after I came.

Poland is a great place to come and visit, but once you actually enter into the system buying a car, buying real estate, starting a company, etc etc you see it's actually a nightmare. The government is still more or less communist, seems like almost everyone is trying to fuck you in some way, evertyhing is setup to make private business as hard as humanly fucking possible. Payroll taxes and fees are almost a second salary of the employee. You are taxed on taxes (you buy a house, you pay 2% tax based on money you BORROWED from a bank to begin with and you of course cannot deduct this from income), the tax authority is housed by old communist ladies that will try to twist your words around in any way to fuck you ("this can't possible be a home office, there's a barbeque on the patio!"), I have to pay some $300/mo towards a mandatory retirement fund (adjusted for inflation going forward every year) until I retire at age 67 (unless they further raise the retirement age), at which point i'll get around $120 per month for the additional MAYBE 10 years i'll live), etc. It's all corrupt as fuck, and i'm really hoping this Korwin-Mikke (extremely right-wing politian that's gaining alot of ground lately) guy wins the next election - although it's a long shot...

Moving here did over the course of the last years let me build my company from 1 person at home to 9 people in an office, but I moved here everything here has just gotten worse and more expensive but i'm too settled in to move anywhere else for the time being + my fiance is a doctor and she can't work in other countries without passing some language exams.

Ah well i'l guess it will take hundreds of years to get rid of communist mentality.
But Polland is constantly praised in media as a country which pulled more money from EU funds then anyone else, how they are only country which had growth during crisis,etc..

Indeed, it is not much different than any Eu country.
You know when people like to complain "oh my country is so bad for business, taxes this and that" while in fact it is nothing out of the ordinary. People just like to complain as they wish they had to pay less etc.

Sorry to disappoint you but you just described a classic capitalist country, not the communist one :) If you want an example of a real country which is most close to communism, look at Sweden.
