Would You Sign Up With A Sponsor That Only Pays 20%
20%
When I had first signed up with them I thought that I would be getting 50% and since they have fantastic promotional content I was extremely pleased - but now that I realize that there only paying me 20% I'm not feeling that pleased about promoting them. I get good bookmarks since there content is automatically updated daily on my site and I always get paid on time and all but 20% sounds like a joke when I think about it. Anyway, would you keep pushing a sponsor that only pays 20% or would you drop them? Regards NastyJack |
I'd drop 'em unless it converts like crazy...
|
20% That's ridiculously LOW
those are some greedy program owners lol |
No way would I promote...not worth my time or energy
I pay out 50-60 % myself FT** |
depends on the sponsor. Most 'tangible goods' programs (like sex toys) will offer a commission close to that.
|
20% is certainly very low but it doesn't tell the whole story. What are rebills like? How highly do you value their free content? etc. etc.
|
20% isn't a lot. However, if you're making money, you're making money. Could you make more by replacing it? If not, it's sortof an academic point.

I'm making money with them so I'm kinda worried about replacing them with another sponsor but 20% isn't very encouraging. They have fantastic content and all but I can't help but wonder if I would make more money if I pushed another sponsor in there place. I guess I should try huh! Regards NastyJack |

Is it just me or is NastyJack making alot more sense lately?

NastyJask, whatever you're doing or not doing lately keep it up. You'll have a much better time on the boards with your new persona. |
there is no paysite that good that you can't find something to replace it with another one to promote that is very similar and will pay out minimally twice as much.
what is the paysite you're promoting? |
I had a sponsor suddenly move me from 50% down to 25% and they said they did that for everyone and it's within their rights from the agreement I signed.
fuck that. greedy motherfuckers |
sounds like a newbie...right guys?

What I would like to say is before you sign up with a sponsor be sure to read the terms and don't assume anything. Otherwise you may end up building your site around them at your own lost. Regards NastyJack |
depends on how much money is coming in !
I would much rather have 20% of $500 than 50% of $40 Bottom line in this biz is send traffic If it pays you more money than the next guy then keep it if not dump it. If they give you content and bookmarkers then there is something worth value there ! Also you have to give each program an honest shot. I walways test sponsors with small traffic for a few weeks to see the results. Just in case a biller is down or some glitch here or there. So many different factors. Someone posted a thread about standard deviation on paysites as well. It basically said that if you get 1 sale in 500 it is just as probable that you could go 3000 and see no sales.. or go 500 and see 3 sales. Just random luck of the draw. And that would make one sponsor seem better than another in the short run ! Also dont put all your eggs in one basket or you will feel the pinch of your sponsor going out of biz. Remember DMR :) Eventually anotehr 3rd party biller will up and fail donthave all your sponsors using only one biller or you will get rocked as well. Processors are very important key to sales.. |
I pay both 20% for my live feeds and 50% for my paysites...
the difference is on the feeds I have to pay the chicks 40-50% and the processing and overhead you figure it out there is not enough room to go any higher for me than 20% on live. But our averrage user spends $700 thats $140 comission but then again ya have to wait a year to get it out of them. And webmasters want it all and they want it up front :) Paysites I can pay 50% i could pay more cuzz there really is very little overhead in paysites. Content and updating and whatnot not a lot of work. Marketing is the biggest cost ! |

If your making them good money contact them and ask them to raise that 20%. If they dont want to lose you, they will raise it.
They always raise mine when I ask :). good luck, Ray |
yup, camgirl sites can't pay out the same % as a paysite. move sites might find they can't make money either paying 50% - depends on how many movies they have available.
|
are you promoting a webcam site?
|
Quote:
No - the sponsor in question is not a webcam site. The only reason I could see why they only pay out 20% is that they have fantastic promotional content and they automatically update it on my site daily. That in itself is worth something but I don't see it being worth 30% of my sales. I would much rather that they update the content once a week and upgrade my percentage. Regards NastyJack |

A good program operator will realize that if you a productive partner @ 20% then by god you'll sell your ass off for 40%+. IMHO just my thoughsts. Steve |
i'd like to know who only pays 20% b/c i'd be the fuck out if it were just a normal site

If it converts really well [less than 1:100] and is stable [never goes over the 1:100 ratio] and pays on time.

They have 1000's of affiliates so I'm sure they would not want something like this going out - just imagine if everyone called in and asked for an increase in they're percentage. Right now I'm earning about $150.00 US per month at 20% - more then most people do with they're site but then again I have been pushing them with every tool at my disposal. 20% is not allot of money when I count up the time and effort that goes into those sales. Needless to say that your right when you say that I would work harder if I had a better percentage. Most of the extra percentage would go toward promoting them so it would be in they're best interest. Well I'm gonna watch a movie and then I'll write them. I'll also be sure to let you guys know what they said. Wish me luck! Regards NastyJack |
Good Luck to you The New NastyJack.
