Fucking black flies
No idea where they are coming from, but I had about 20 (at least) fat black houseflies in the house today. If movies are to be believed, there's some serious supernatural shit about to go down in my living room. :1orglaugh
I keep a clean house, so I'm really curious where they are coming from. |
A bit smaller but these Ont. black flies are a real pain hehe :thumbsup |
Racist topic name.

I get them once a year. Cocksuckers get up into the soffit then somehow make their way in through the ceiling. Since it is a log home it is not exactly air tight everywhere. Now I am dealing with lady bugs. Theyre not as bad though. Apparently flies shit at least once every 4 minutes.

Used to work maintenance at a fishing lake. I'd slaughter 1000's of flies per day with this stuff, it's great:

Put ghostbusters on speeddial. We get little flying gnats in my loft office. Our place is 128 yrs. old with old dimensional lumber - a magnet for bugs and insects. They seem to get in to the dead space behind the attic walls...and I'm not a fan of crawling in through the hatch to spray. |

you put out rat/mice poison? maybe something died in your wall. :2 cents:

Likely the warm weather, they found a way in when it got cold... now when they try to get out, they are getting out to the inside of your home, not the way they came in.

Black-flies are worse, they are the small ones that come out in the late spring/early summer and bite. |

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluster_fly They over-winter in attics, wall voids, etc. I had a huge infestation of them a few years back when I lived in the country in a brand new house. Nothing to do with the cleanliness of the house either. They get in for the warmth in the fall then can't get back outside in the spring. |

When I opened this thread, I was hoping to see a little black fly on black fly action....
. |
If you live in Maine or New Hampshire, you get fly's twice a year, ladybugs twice a year and fucking huge horse fly's that can take a chunk of flesh out of you if they get the chance. Then you get little black flys for a two month period in the spring. In a way its good for the local birds as they have a ton of fresh food available. And i had never seen so many woodpeckers until moving here....
