OK, how does a person in this industry go about getting a remote position with one of the adult industry companies? I do not want to do the sex side of it (i.e. phone sex, cam sex erotic writing or anything) I want to use my education and intelligence to better my bank account. I am tired of the 9 to 5 with my internet ventures being limited to evening and days off. But, I can't quit the 9 to 5 unless I find something else with a steady check. I have 3 beautiful rugrats that need their Nike's. I've tried some of the adult job posting boards but have mainly seen ads for the sex side of the biz. And those that weren't were so sketchy i'd be afraid to rely on them for my main source of income. I mean my main goal in life is to completely submerge myself in the online porn industry, raise my kids, and when they have moved out on their own I want to move to Vegas, sit in front of the slots all day and become a lush. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

lol . . I want to make enough money that sitting in front of the slots has no impact whatsoever on my bank account. It's just a relaxing sort of thing to do. And I never keep a pic of myself on the computer just in case it should fall into the wrong hands and end up being edited and reused somewhere. The only picture I have access to via the computer is my wedding picture. I'm sure that would do nothing for you porn lords

Like I said it's my wedding picture and it was at a bed & breakfast just the two of us . . so no trick photography, no audience and no high priced person to do my hair and makeup. Take it like a woman and get on a cam site. Or become a vegas escort. With skills or a connection, you aren't going to get a remote five-figure position.

Don't just say that you have the skills. Show people what you can do. In the context of the boards, make it a point to answer questions that you are knowlegeable about. Try to become an authority on something.

At the same time start networking. If possible attend the shows, atleast the ones that are local for you. Spend a little time on the boards, but don't let that interfere with work that is actually making you money.

Keep scanning the help-wanted ads, but don't limit yourself to adult oriented ads. Those tend to be more for content than webmasters/programmers. I can't speak for other companies but everyone we hire, we either already know or came from Monster.

Also, if you're not aspiring to be content you might want to choose a more business sounding name.
